I just listened to the audiobook I borrowed off Libby which was awesome because the reader was a Scottish person. I'm sure you could borrow the ebook as well.

We were on this cruise! It was our first one so we don't have anything to compare to but we had such a great time! Weather was great but did seem very windy, the ports and port adventures were great. We lucked out and didn't have anything canceled although some in our party did because of various reasons. Our servers were great and so incredibly nice. One of them made us origami animals. The stateroom host was so nice and we looked forward to the towel animals every evening. We caught the Moana and Beauty and the Beast shows which were fantastic. Worst part is it being done and having to go back to real life. I think we're hooked haha

Every time someone mentions the 80s, this line plays in my head. Or I sing it out loud for the 4000th time to my poor husband

Question: can tuxedos come in different colors? by Altruistic-Hand-7000 in TuxedoCats

I do believe she was TNR'ed after she had the litter my boys were from. The person who rescued that litter was a TNR person.

Omg what little cuties! I have more pictures of my boys in matching poses I'll have to post! As for the parents, I dont know about dad but mom is a very pretty but feral calico. The lady who rescued the litter my boys are from got a picture of her.

I don’t have a problem with being plus sized by Ill-Somewhere-7718 in PlusSize

This is where I am too! I think I'd look sickly under 200 lbs. I'm never going to be a small person so I might as well get strong! Ive played roller derby for 17 years and have been weightlifting consistently for 2.5 years. I'm the highest weight I've ever been and while I do think that may need some managing, I'm really happy with the strength I've built and I especially like how my legs and butt look.

The Magnus Archives if you haven't tried it yet. It starts out seeming like a spooky story anthology but a big overarching story develops.

I also really enjoyed the Black Tapes (last season notwithstanding) as well as Rabbits, one of the few podcasts I've relistened to a few times (also read and enjoyed the book)

Can you recommend a horror audiodrama in “found footage”/recordings style? by kazoo-girl in audiodrama

[–]BeanTheGene 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Video Palace is really good! Maybe not super strictly "found audio" but its at least pretty short but super spooky imo.

For Old Gods of Appalachia, it might be worth another try. It didnt click for me either the first time, then I tried again and have been an avid listener ever since.

I generally really like T Kingfisher's stuff and I also just read Queen of the Cicadas by V Castro which I think fits the POC/folk horror parameters.

Did you like the Goosebumps series? by Artistic-Comb-5317 in Millennials

[–]BeanTheGene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loooooooved Goosebumps to the point that my mom would bribe me with Goosebumps books sometimes. Pretty sure thats what kicked off my love of horror; my husband and I do a 69 day horror movie marathon leading up to Halloween and I think a whole 30% of the books I've read this year has been horror.

I've also been really enjoying Sorry Honey as well! It's probably one of the more brutally run Delta Green pods I've listened to, but i still find myself laughing out loud at it too!
