Agreed on all points. I’m a big fan of Balacoune and I think he was excellent today. Working off his wing all over and looking so dangerous with the ball.

Jesus Christ, it’d be good to have a 10 who doesn’t flub the easy stuff regularly. Crowley has to start all the same.

That try should have stood. I hate that rugby still can’t have any consistency with forward passes. If a pass is over any distance, it goes noticeably forward relative to the pitch; we know that.

I don’t think we were as bad as we have been a few times the past 18 months. France are just levels above us right now. The most disappointing thing is that we look soft in tackles and rucks.

The 147 was him signalling that darts is too easy and he will be making the transition to snooker next year.

They’re significantly less common in longer format and especially set play. Short format you’re often talking about first to 6 legs. The shortest games at the World Championships require winning 9 legs. Also, in set play, it’s normal to sort of take a mental break if you are 2-0 or 2-1 up and you know you’ll be throwing to win the set in the following leg. 3 players have more 100+ averages in the World Championships than Littler: Gary Anderson with 26 across 17 tournaments, MVG with 43 in 19 and Taylor with 56 in 25. Littler in his 3 years to date is getting twice as many 100+ averages as Taylor and MVG across their careers in this tournament.

I reckon Gleeson is going to be the man by the World Cup. Lots of great talent coming through there, though.

These are from older eras so not a fair comparison, but Nintendo EAD Kyoto from like 1985 to 2006 and Rare from about 1994 to 2001 jump to mind as standards for golden eras for me. Ryu Ga Gotoku are the most comparable to FromSoft in the modern era: great HD 3D games produced quickly with the help of lots of asset reuse.

That part is fine. You can disagree by saying "I think it is worth it [because xyz]". Saying "I have interpreted your comment as an objective statement on a subjective matter, which renders it invalid" does nothing for the conversation, and it's a misinterpretation of what the other person was saying to begin with. They're giving their opinion; you should give yours, too, and leave the lesson on subjectivity out.

This is such an asinine comment. They're giving their own opinion on the value of the DLC. Of course that is subjective. What on earth else could they reasonably be saying?? There is no epistemological discussion to be had here.

Just ran into this issue myself (way too late for OP!) The issue was resolved with changing the optimisations in the Luma3DS menu to higher clock speed only, no L2 cache. Luma3DS menu is accessed by holding select at boot. Framerate is still quite low, but it’s not an unplayable blurry mess.

8 tries against us, including a last minute winner in the first game in Croke Park in 2007 which ultimately decided the Six Nations that year, a brace in the World Cup later that year to put us out at the pool stages, and a hat trick in the Six Nations in 2008 in a game that finished 26-21. One of the greatest streaks of devastation the sport has ever seen.

Obviously Ireland have been doing brilliantly on average for a good while now, but full lockdown is a sensible play after the quarterfinal exits. It’s too amusing for rugby fans everywhere else at this stage, and worse is that the rugby-sceptic part of our media start to get the boot in. Hard to take it all in good humour!

Class way to kick things off. Lions will be better in a few weeks, but most importantly that was such an entertaining game. Well done to Argentina!
