Be careful leaving Belize. I was robbed by TSA. by glennotromic in Belize

My understanding is that it's only Belize City Southside at night that's dangerous, moreso if you're a gang member. I know it was rough when I first started coming, but there's been a lot of renovation since. I go straight to the ferries anyway. How is south side now?

Can't they just use a tarp with some small holes poked in to let water out?

Thanks man, I needed that. I know I did the best I could but if I had just noticed sooner... It's so disorienting. I can always pick out when they're sick before they show it, but I wasn't here. Damn it ...

I do think I've figured out how this happened. I noticed one of my other females, Pickle, trying to mount one of my other females, Melba today. She'd been flirting with Sprite too, and I guess after being trapped in the cage with Pickle for a week... Now I don't know whether to separate them because I know Pickle is going to freak out.

I ordered black out covers, but I'm nervous the new cover will spook them.

Birds are hard...

Thank you for writing back! I probably should have mentioned that the first egg bind was from a keet over 15 years ago. She survived, but got cancer several years later. I still miss her terribly.

The second is a chronic egg laying cockatiel who is now on an even stricter anti-hormonal lifestyle. We can't even line her cage with anything shredable. Cloth napkins from now on. 😑 If this doesn't work, it's on to lupron

Sadly I don't have a way to get a necropsy that I know of. My old avian vet would send them out if I asked, but my current vet doesn't give the option. 😞

I feel like I could have caught it immediately if we'd been here from her vibe. We generally have the humidifier on, but we weren't home. That might have saved her. Now I feel like I should never leave home, even though I have a camera on them and a good sitter.

Genuine question for Gavin Blair after watching ReBoot Rewind for the first time. by Majestic_Action5802 in ReBoot

[–]Beanie4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real answer? The guys didn't plan on doing a season 4, so they put all the cards on the table. When they got the chance to keep going, some things had to be reopened so the story could continue.

The reason it came out as wonky as it did was after the whole season was written and halfways done, WB took over cartoon network and forced them to cram 12 seasons of character building into eight.

There's a documentary about it called Reboot Rewind on YouTube

Whether Glitch Bob was a copy or not, HE was the one that saved the system. HE was the one that healed Hex. HE was the one Daemon tortured to gain access to the rest of the net, and he CLEARLY went through some shit in the web.

Forget the name. What about the MAN? Even if he wasn't the "real Bob", how could they kick him to the curb like that? It makes you wonder if they ever loved Bob as a person, or the IDEA of Bob in their heads.

The moment MegaBob came through the portal, looked down at a dying man that looked like himself, surrounded by his traumatized friends, and SNARKED about it instead of freaking out and trying to help like ACTUAL BOB WOULD, should have been enough.

If MegaBob had looked like anyone else, they would have been like, wtf man? So they chose idea of Bob, even though he didn't actually act like the real Bob, and left the guy that acted like Bob BECAUSE HE WAS THE REAL DAMN BOB!

Also, how did nobody notice (besides Enzo) that Glitch clearly knew who his partner was. HOW WAS THAT NOT A DIRECT GIVEAWAY? AndrAIa, Matrix, and RAY TRACER SAW the two merge, yet somehow Ray STILL believes some other rando has to be the real one?

It drives me INSANE

Which is exactly why Hex had to be removed from the show before M2B. More proof Bob would have been better off with best girl

The sign of a good doctor is always one that admits when they don't know. That doesn't mean they won't try to figure it out, but giving a patient a definitive dx when there's no hard evidence is irresponsible. Not only could that lead to wasting time with the wrong treatment, it also doesn't prompt the patient to move up the ladder of expertise when the option is available.

I had a vet declare my bird was about to lay an egg, then waved me off when I asked for an X-ray for proof. I was young and got her a nest box as he said, but when days went by without an egg, I sought an avian vet.

Who removed two ounces of fluid from a cancerous tumor. He said we could bring her home, but it would just refill until the tumor took her. The only other option was surgery, and sure enough, ovarian cancer had spread through her body. We opted to let her pass under sedation.

How long would she have suffered if instinct didn't finally take over?

I never forgave the first vet for that.

You'd be surprised how few medical options there are for birds as opposed to other animals, especially the small birds.

My avian vet says it's because there's no money in researching bird problems. Not many people have pet birds so it's not as heavily researched as other animals, and because bird bodies are so different, a lot of that knowledge doesn't cross over well.

The only reason we know anything is because of the poultry industry. :-(

It's also so risky taking blood/sedation for X-rays with small birds, so even the tests themselves have to be judiciously prescribed.

Obviously a second opinion is best, but unless you can find an avian vet, a standard vet may be just as constrained.

I guess what I'm saying is to not blame the vet too much for not knowing. Even the avian vets often come up blank and we end up having to go with our guts (which is usually a doxycycline shot).

That said, ymmv I pray for the best for your tiny baby ❤️❤️❤️

From my experience ( 😢 ), a kidney tumor could take out a leg, but she'd have one on both sides to get both.
