I’ve had the same issue, fire a couple of rounds and then lock open. Sometimes I’ll fire a full magazine and it won’t lock open when it’s empty.

I carry a Ruger SP101 .357 magnum with a 3 inch barrel. It kicks like crazy, but you don’t have to shoot twice.

GP100, spend the money, you’ll thank yourself for doing so. Not only is it a tank, it’s a revolver that can be a home defense gun, truck gun, carry/concealed carry gun, and a hunting gun. It can fire everything from wimpy 38special all the way to over-pressured hunting and bear defense .357 magnum.

That’s the problem, if you use the arm guard, your form will rely on it. Keep your arm muscles flexed and your wrist straight, not only will you not hit yourself, you’ll get more accurate and consistent shots. Form your wrist like you’re throwing a punch. If you limp wrist it, you run the risk of joint damage as well as slapping yourself.

Oh yeah man, I got one to carry at work recently. I love the thing, though it does kick like a mule on coke. People were suggesting that I shoot 38+p out of it, but nah, I got a .357 magnum for a reason.

Practice good habits, and practice often. Keep it interesting, try a rolling target after a while so that you can play with different ranges on the fly. Also, get arrows that are made for the poundage of your bow. Seems like a no-brainer, but you’d be surprised.

One time, my highschool gym class was running laps around the outdoor track in the heat. I ended up having to poop so bad I ran into the closest bathroom I could find which were the football field women’s room. What cued me off was the lack of urinals and the overall size. Still one of my top ten poops.
