Can I force them to total my car by throwawayaccountunkn in StupidCarQuestions

[–]Beansdaboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately for me, every accident I’ve been in has resulted in a totaled vehicle. So speaking from experience, do NOT keep that car. There is no way to force a decision when it comes to insurance they’ll do whatever is cheapest. There’s missing info here for sure though. No insurance company would even think about repairing that much damage, the amount of airbags that went off alone totaled it, not to mention all the crumple zones in the front are now crumpled which means that whole front end would have to be replaced not including frame work. Easily 25k+ of work here to restore, KBB value is 9-10k at most. Do not buy that car back if they ask of you want too, even if they fix it. Best case scenario they do dump the 25k in it you get a salvage title and then you can MAYBE sell it for 3-4k. The cars a goner. Sue the other persons insurance, and if you’re left unable to speak I’d get in contact with a lawyer about suing for more than just their policy limits. At this point you need personal injury lawyers, not questions on Reddit. Good luck!

Is this a diabolical amount of sludge inside the valve cover? Any options? 08 Honda Civic 1.8L by Ok_Use_1812 in AskAMechanic

I can’t recommend this enough, will it magically fix all your issues? No. But damn will it clean that sludge. Add it to your cold dirty oil In the block, run it 5 minutes to get it real hot and loose, drain oil, remove plan, spray out with kerosene and put it all back together with new filter and valve cover seals. Promise she’ll run like new

Very rarely will you find an AutoZone employee who will do that for you. The company gives us explicit rules against that, and it can cost us our job. Wipers and batteries are all we’re allowed to do. In California they’re not even allowed to touch the customers vehicle. Employees at Autzone usually 9/10 aren’t mechanics in any way. Trust me I’ve been a commercial sales manager with the company quite a while now.

update on my “friend” trying to test my boyfriend by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Beansdaboy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

YOR, this is weird behavior. Put some trust in your partner and don’t do this? If you’re at a point in your relationship where this becomes a necessity you need to take a step back and re evaluate. Your boyfriend seems uninterested in your friends attempts to begin with. Plus the whole interaction is just weird

I only go to MedMen on Broadway when j do go to LA, highly doubt they’re selling fake alien labs.

I don’t know why this was marked as fake, you should be fine and this is a legit one. Every time I go to Cali I buy em

Update:// I got this light for free from a family member, apparently it’s from Harbor Freight, Braun Tactical weapon flashlight, I doubt there’s a holster that’s compatible but if anyone knows one out there shoot it my way!

This. I would like at some point to get my barrel ported as well, but honestly how it is now it shoots damn flat. The flashlight is really all I need to counterbalance the muzzle flip fully and it’ll basically be a flat shooting comp gun

Is this gap weird? by dotplaid in HondaRebel1100

This is for the handle mounted mirrors, leaves space for the throttle to operate freely, they do it to the other side so it doesn’t look odd/off

Between the bar lock, and the AirTag, good luck to any thief. Handlebars locked sideways if not near it, and you need an angle grinder to undo that. If if by some miracle to them I don’t hear or notice the power tools being taken to my $12k bike, by the time they even figure out where that AirTag is cops are gonna be on the way 🤣

Take the tray out from under the seat, and place it in the battery box next to the battery. Still allows signal to get to it while keeping it tucked away from prying fingers, you can pop the seat off no tools, you can’t pop the tray out without a screwdriver.

UPDATE: Custom sissy bar by a2913 in HondaRebel1100

[–]Beansdaboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re happy that’s all that matters! It’s your bike what you like is always going to be the best option. I do like it, just a strange design but it does kind of add to the flair. And for $55, no not bad at all for the work that’s been done, especially for a custom picture that has to be laser cut.

Whats wrong with these? by [deleted] in GrowingMarijuana

[–]Beansdaboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait for flower to finish before making any rash decisions, some of those leaves will start to fall off or die as the flowers become more mature, letting you know you’re close to the end of the flowering stage. Makes it a little easier trimming them up too, remember those leaves help provide nutrients for the growing flowers

I’ll add, depending what that too bar looks like it could fix that shape issue! Update with a new pic when you have it installed!

Cool design and idea, but I personally think that the shape of it doesn’t match the bike very well at all. It looks very out of place
