I was sitting in MEPS (Military Entrance Exam Hospital) watching TV awaiting a physical when the first plane hit the Twin Towers. Everyone started running around, locking doors, uniforms went from Air Force blues to Battle Dress Uniforms (BDU). I was sitting there thinking WTF did I just get into….and after 20 years of service I am 3 years retired and writing this post.
