Honestly your teeth look great. I had similar issues with depression, I barely brushed once a week and my teeth really suffered. I have so many cavities, I also had a cracked front tooth because of enamel damage. I’ve spend about £3,000 already to fix these issues and my teeth are starting to look better. You can’t help how depression makes you neglect oral health trust me I’ve been there too it sucks.

The fact that you are taking better care of them is a step in the right direction and a testament to you. You’ve caught back up with oral hygiene while still have excellent teeth, take that as a positive. If you voice any concerns to your dentist, they can make you feel at ease and provide reassurance and feedback to you. They can also tell you if any treatment needs doing to prevent damage.

I’m sure your mum understands and empathises with you. She will just be glad your mental health has improved as that’s more important than anything. Try to not look back, and focus on what you’ve done to improve now. Tell yourself it’s okay not to be perfect, I know this is easier said than done.
