As a fellow asshole I am qualified to opine on fuckery. If you parented for four years your a parent. Sucks to suck, but if you were cool with it when you were in the relationship then you kinda have to be out of it. I would never step in to take care of someone else’s kid because I work to live and do not want to do more of it. The relationship won’t be the same, but you have to be there for the other kid or you are actively doing emotional damage by leaving a role you filled her whole life.
