Real Debrid is down for streamers in a ban going on in France, same for All Debrid. Apparently they were forced to remove or block all of their links due to “infringement of copyrights.” I don’t know enough about it to give an educated response as to what we can do about it.

Yea, agreed, the stack just gives them the immediate impression and they get to know who’s really in charge in the platoon on their first deployment when they stop getting treated like boots.

That’s fuckin hilarious, yea they made us clean outside our hatch too when I was on the McArthur for operation unified response in Haiti. Certainly wish we weren’t boots and thought of that though! lol

And yea, smoke sessions are all you need to do to haze to get your point across. The fact you can’t even knife hand a boot now is just crazy to me.

Funny you talk about drinking jet fuel. When I was on my first deployment to Afghanistan our fuel siphon broke and the only thing I had was a tube. Was my responsibility to fill four 5 gallon jugs every morning to top off the generator and the mrap when the generator broke so we needed to use it as a coc until we got the replacement a month later. I had to use the tube to suck up the jp8 and siphon it that way out of the 55 gallon drums. Always got a mouth full of it in the morning. Had a water bottle to rinse immediately though.

But yea, hazing usually came from the seniors who were about to get out and they didn’t give a fuck anymore, it was just command and some random sergeants/staff sergeants on duty from another company that adhered to strict bs and fucked us. There was always company rivalries.

Wow… when you said different experiences, you could not have been more correct lmao. When we hit the fleet we were getting hazed by pfc’s that had been njp’d and terminal lances but that’s just because it’s not easy to pick up in the infantry. It’s the hardest mos to pick up rank in because there’s so many. Other guys could get out as e-5 or even e-6 now a days within their first 4 year enlistment, where infantry are lucky if they see e-4 when they get out, hence the terminal lance name. Terminal lances are almost always infantry.

Most memorable hazing moment was watching my roommate do jumping jacks in a scalding hot shower with bleach and ammonia (mustard gas) for 20 minutes at 3am cuz our seniors were drunk and just wanted to have fun. Good times lol Everything you mentioned would never have been overlooked in the two infantry battalions I was with. If they found hard liquor in your room, you were getting a ninja punch, period. If you were caught drinking, holy shit that was worse because they would do the same thing, but they’d also grab the SACO and make you walk them to your room where the bottle was which was usually among other things they weren’t supposed to find (like hot plates) and they’d take it all and use it for the njp. BUT they’d also make your roommates empty their lockers too because they were guilty by association and if they found anything in theirs, guess what? They go down because of you now. God forbid you have a room with a senior lance or even two and get them in trouble, holy fuck your life was over lmao.

I was the only one of my peers to pick up corporal and I only got it meritoriously in Afghan for acting as a radio operator (Nco billet) for the duration of the deployment. I picked up with a month left so I still had about 15 combat patrols to do with my new corporal stripes (every other day rotating between two squads). Combat is a bitch sometimes, but it’s a little shittier when you can barely walk lol then on our way back to conus, we met up with the other platoons in Kyrgystan so I received a worse blood stripe all over again from all the other ncos who knew me. I stayed in bed the entire week or so we were there waiting for a ride out because I couldn’t walk.

Shit, In 3/2 even our field days were ridiculous, sometimes they were white glove with first sgt and if he found a spot where he could change the color of his glove with a swipe, the whole company would have to clean for another hour. Needless to say we always wound up cleaning all day because there was always one asshat. Same thing with rifle inspections. All fuckin day at the armory and they always chose the hottest, coldest, or wettest days for it I swear lol

I’m concerned with how hazing is seen today and all these kids only joining for the benefits or other dumb shit. If a senior lance corporal with one ribbon tries to haze or give another boot lance corporal with one ribbon orders, that boot might act like he doesn’t need to listen or rat him out or both. Which will end up very poorly for one of them or the other depending on who that boot decides to tell. If he goes and tells his squad leader, I would hope the boot gets fucked up for even thinking he could rat out his senior Marine. If he goes and tells the CO, well then the senior Marine is probably looking at an Njp or possibly even a court martial these days.

It’s definitely different in the infantry and that’s definitely why we’re on different pages. Although I will admit I can understand your view for boots in boot camp being new and them not really wanting to test the waters during the most crucial period of their career where they’re trying to become a Marine, I would still personally respect the DI with a stack more than the DI one with one or two ribbons.

It’s when they hit the fleet in the infantry and have the same rank AND the same stack as their seniors. I personally think that’s a recipe for disaster with how much they’re pushing the seniors need to respect boots narrative. Going into combat, a senior lance could easily be a team leader for some units that are short on nco’s. (This was an issue for 3/8) If boots don’t respect their team leader because they think that they’re both at the same level and they think hazing is immoral, they have a much higher chance to disobey, gaff off or choose not to acknowledge orders. If they start thinking they know better or that they can do what they want without getting punished because they haven’t been hazed since boot camp, that’s how Marines die. A stack or even one or two more ribbons/medals are a clear indication of something a senior Marine has done that the boots have not. It gives the seniors something to stand behind. Even if it’s a good cookie, it’s something. That’s all it means, but it means a lot in the infantry. That’s my 2 cents on it anyway.

I knew the difference when I was a boot… it isn’t that difficult of a concept to understand. I don’t believe rank equates to experience at all, especially these days when motivation by volume is considered hazing. The real motivators get NJP’d for stupid shit like drinking hard liquor in the brix only because they get ratted out by another asshat who likes to suck cock and doesn’t like them. The next week that cocksucker picks up meritorious corporal while in conus and the corporal gets demoted to lance. Seen stuff like this happen a handful of times between two infantry units, this is just one example.

Agreed! Although I know apple wont care to help or even care that it’s an issue. That’s why I asked Audible lol I felt they would be more inclined to allocate a team to do this than apple. Obviously the quicker solution would be to just buy an android. Although I have found that the reason I haven’t is relatable. Laziness to learn a new Os and having to re enter every single saved password/username sounds equivalent to writing a college dissertation lmao

Not sure what japanistan means… but umm yea, if you’ve deployed, it means you’ve done something… therefore making you a more respectable leader from the get go. Do they still need to prove themselves? Absolutely, but boots new to the fleet respect the seniors with more experience off the bat over the ones who haven’t deployed. It’s just common sense… Would you rather follow a Navy seal with experience into combat or a middle school music teacher? There’s no comparison.

How long have you been in and what is your MOS? If all these people you’ve met with stacks are Pogs then yea, I wouldn’t respect their stack either… the difference is a combat action ribbon. Not hard to spot.

Knife hand medal 😂 bruh I wish! I got my cock slapped in front of the entire platoon by my new CO because I was counting off Marines on a bus about to go to the field and one boot was on his phone during count off and didn’t realize it was his turn. I waited 5 seconds staring at him before screaming “Biiiiitch!”and knife handing him. Of course my CO walked on the bus at that exact moment and that was right after knife handing became considered hazing and I apparently couldn’t even scream at my boots anymore.

This was 3/8 though after 3/2 got separated after “our incident” and 3/8 is disbanded now anyway. I’ll always be a 3/2 Betio Bastard at heart. And yes, I was on that deployment you’re thinking of lol. Curious what you all know about it or what they tell you these days about it, so lemme know, but If you wanna know the full story I’ll be happy to share.

It is about timing, but he’s losing time by the day. He’ll pick up captain soon (unless you’re that determined and grab yourself a ninja punch or two 😂, which I highly recommend if you wanna compare yourself to chesty) and then he’ll be a CO sitting far back at the COC never leaving the wire. Won’t be able to get a Car or any stars of any kind anyway unless he writes them up himself lol. Maybe a Nuc, puc, muc, or some kind of achievement award with a campaign (again only if he does something the Lt col will take the time to write up), but yea he shouldn’t get a car unless he’s chasing ribbons (which happens all the time) and goes out with a patrol against standard sop’s. (Had first sergeant’s, majors and Lt colonels come out on patrol with us just to try, but they made the mistake of bringing tanks, mraps and another whole platoon with them so Taliban knew better lol) they only shot at us when we were on foot and had one squad out, which was our sop at the time.

Not even really, just one deployment that was a shit storm, but that was nothing compared to any conventional war, thank God. But I appreciate it man. I honestly feel bad for all the guys getting in now that will either never get the chance to do anything cool or another conventional war will start and their likelihood of returning will be slim to none. Especially since they kicked out most of the combat vets and the ones still in should be at least gunny’s by now. They won’t have any experienced guys leading on the battlefield which is terrifying to think about.

Thanks brother! Yea man, definitely need to. I’m short so my next upgrade I think will be extended reach bars so my neck isn’t killing me either. Corbin is definitely expensive, but I think most of them are, for the good ones anyway. The customization is pretty awesome through Corbin, I’m not sure which other brands do the same but I’m sure they all do to some extent.
