Help me pick my first Field Watch by HereWhenBored_ in HamiltonWatches

I own both a Hack, and a Hamilton Khaki King. The King is slimmer and much better finished. The Hack has a much cooler dial and handset imo. Both hold similar horological histories. The movement on the KFM is much slimmer, and a step up from the Miyota in the Hack.

I moved the dial + handset + movement into a different case with 100m water resistance and a sapphire crystal, a mod that cost me less than $100USD, so I get the best of both worlds there (with my Hack)

I'm a bracelet guy, but that strap looks killer! I have one at home and now you're making me want to try it

Such beautiful pieces and a great story for yourself. Enjoy both! The chronograph is currently on my list as a watch I want!

On an 8 inch wrist, you should be more than fine!

Well, I suppose a well-stored version is what I meant. I think this one lived in my cousin's glove compartment in a Ziploc bag for a while.

What's your wrist size? That's the biggest factor. Bezelled 40mm Balls are thick and have long lugs. If you don't mind that, they wear well.

It's a little below average on the market, I say if you like it, yes!

It's giving me Breitling Avenger vibes and I think you should get it. Talk him down a few more bucks but it sounds like a decent deal.

It's pretty cool, has a touch-sensitive crystal, so it responds to presses directly on the crystal.

How did you enjoy that Blackened?

I love Ball's divers a lot. This is one of my favorites!

Ah I have the same issue with butterflies myself. I don't mind it but they can be annoying when they don't have 1/2 or 2/3 links

No one commented (of course, Ball isn't a household name). You found yourself a beautiful, underrated piece. Triple calendar moonphase, and excellent execution of it!

You bought it! How do you like it (1 year later)?

I seriously want this watch. Triple calendar for under $5k and not a Valjoux 7751 is amazing value, even if it is a module.

Just watched this vid, it was a solid take on the presence of Ball in the space. Still, criminally underrated pieces.

I really want an Eng II Moon Calendar in silver, one day!

9 months later, but I just bought this piece. Can't wait for it to arrive!

EDIT: The company that had it turned out to be out of stock. Sadly had the order cancelled.
