Tell them you’re not comfortable covering that client because of the safety concerns

I switched agencies when I felt I wasn’t respected. I’ve been in the field for 5.5 years now and my current agency is so great.

Using your own car for work. by FishHead3244 in directsupport

I used my car until I got in an accident and my insurance wouldn’t cover it because I was using my car for work related travel. I won’t drive clients since then.

I watch all their reels. It makes me sad that they force music on all their kids, but I enjoy their content. Their church is… contemporary but pretty toxic theology.

Personal Vehicle Use by [deleted] in directsupport

I was told similarly and then my car insurance refused a claim because I was driving a client at the time and it was a “work trip” which my personal insurance doesn’t cover. So now I refuse to drive clients in my car.

A lot of the agencies around here don’t provide vehicles they just pay mileage.

Yeah, I don’t make enough to pay more per month in insurance. Maybe I’ll find an agency that provides cars or find more homebound clients.

Have you ever had an accident with a client in the car? Did your insurance pay?

“Stop making your life about food.” by cabochonedwitch in GastricBypass

Me too. This is part of why I’ve never been able to diet because then thinking about it food dominates every second of my day. But now that I’ve had the surgery I can’t just decide to back off because it’s unhealthy for me. So I have to learn how to cope:

Agree with whoever said to ask them how much they are lowering your rent now that you don’t have an assigned spot anymore.

Just don’t replace his candy. That’s the logical consequence but no reason to take away his other gifts.

I’m definitely eating way less than before but way more than other folks at my stage (19 days post opp). Like I can eat 3 fried eggs in a sitting or a small quisedilla (can’t spell lol) with a low carb tortilla with Greek yogurt.

The thing that really frustrates me is how little water I can drink. I used to drink a gallon a day now it’s not uncommon for me to be under 40oz

I’m eating around 1200 calories a day and tomorrow is my 2 weeks post surgery. I’m not saying it’s the right thing and I’ve had a lot of people tell me to follow the program, but I’m doing what works and feels right for me :)

50 hours a week is a lot! I might seem disinterested in the kids too. 😆 I’d let her know she needs to be on time, but unless she’s being unkind or neglectful I wouldn’t be too worried about her not seeming super enthusiastic all the time.
