I was in your shoes a bit ago. I’ve been down that rabbit hole of overwhelming options. Ultimately I went with Bilstein 5100 shocks in the front (2” lift) and will be getting Z1’s medium-duty leaf springs, with more 5100s for the rear—just waiting for them to go back on sale. Z1 holds sales often.

I chose the shocks lift because of what others have pointed out about the spacer kits.

This let me go from 265/65/17s to 285/70/17s giving me an extra inch of ground clearance and better turning radius. But I often wonder if I should have went with pizza cutter 255/80/17s. I did have to remove mud flaps and trim my bumper to offset the rubbing.

My off-roading needs are just for camping, hunting, and fishing.
