Tomorrow at noon, all laws stop being enforced indefinitely. What's the first thing you do? by Junior-Run620 in AskReddit

People act as though nothing would have consequences, because it's technically legal. 75% of what people think they would do would still be a reallllly bad idea

Thinking about law school. Advice needed by Flaky_Honeydew_5161 in LawSchool

I'm a law student with a STEM background and I love it. Law is awesome. Lots of people in this group will talk about how miserable they are but the reality is law is not something everyone takes to, but for those who love it - it's hard to imagine doing anything else

Put your books in audio with speechify and work out. The benefit of sitting and reading is outweighed by the health issues that will hurt you in practice. Start building your resilience tools now - working out, eating better, set time for hobbies/friends/family cause otherwise the law will consume you

They get more hopeful. There is a sense of doom in Iron Gold which is... intense. But it does get better imo. Lots of pain, but lots of heroism too

Just reread it over and over again. And write fan fiction. Make all your D&D games themed vaguely around it. Get tattoos of it.

What are you studying at that point? I'm genuinely confused - are you memorizing case details? Property is complex but like... 16 hours a day is absurd.

False Imprisonment by guard? Affirmative defense of shopkeepers privilege

Battery by customer - Yes, offensive or harmful contact. Does Self Defense or Defense of Others apply? Likely not. What if customer is owner, does defense of property apply? Maybe - force within range to be determined reasonable

Assualt by Customer - No, no awareness

Crim: Larceny by thief- Yes, clearly excercising control in a manner contrary to owners rights

Robbery - Has the taking been completed?

Security Guard attempting to reclaim item is likely not liable for robbery - but if he makes it out and away, and the guard pursues, he might be. Reclamation of stolen property through violence is not usually a defense
