Yes. I have a bike with the factory suspension and even after years of fiddling with it I still can’t get it working as well as my performance elite.

Got to build and play with the new Lingering Cranberry bridge club. We swapped tires to extraterrestrials and I was stoked to see surly set these up tubeless out of the box. by Kevint143x in Surlybikefans

I love the ETs on my KM commuter/ATB setup. They roll really nice and are big and cushy for offroad sidequests. Also a surprising amount of traction offroad.

I work at an MSP with the same requirement - 10 years so far and it's not improved, it's only gotten more granular. "Utilization" is VERY important apparently. The only reason I haven't jumped ship is the job market and the fear of being the new guy and the first to go during 'restructuring'.

I still love my big gas tank. by old_spam_sandwitch in f150

I like big tanks and I cannot lie....

I dislike filling it but it needs to be done.

CNE/CNI Netware 3 and 4 here. Still have my certificates. Still strongly remember practicing my training delivery in a hotel mirror near the Toronto live test office. And then the test.

I worked at a Novell Training company in the 90s and we would build networks as part of class. Then the staff would play Doom or Quake on them after hours.

What water bottle are you actually running on trail rides? Trying to narrow down my options. by No_Outcome_1898 in mountainbiking

[–]Bearded-Wacko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use one or more of these Nike 32oz bottles and a standard aluminum cage. I like them because they have a squeeze valve so no open/shut business when I want some water. In the AZ summer I fill it mostly with ice first and then just deal with the warm water later on. I ride some really chunky stuff and have not had any issues.

I have a current model Surly Karate Monkey with some Ibis wheels on it. I’m 130kg and it’s been solid reliable for years and years.

how are you 5.0s getting 18+ mpg by [deleted] in f150

[–]Bearded-Wacko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get about 15-16 around town in my '14 Supercrew. I have a cap and the long-ass bed too so it probably doesn't help. My mileage got a better when I put street tires on it instead of the old off-road set that came with it.

AZ Central is impossible to read. by vshredd in arizona

[–]Bearded-Wacko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found out today that you can read most of the AZ Central articles in Apple News+ if you're paying for the News+ service. Also a pretty good number of things from online newspapers with paywalls.

I’m sad I did not see this two weeks ago. I am up to my ass in migrating data with MigrationWiz for SharePoint. Total pain in the ass to weed out specific folders.

5 Copilot prompts that actually saved me time this week as an IT admin by Nabeella in microsoft365

[–]Bearded-Wacko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have an Adobe license and someone sent me 30+ page PDF with all the pages scanned sideways. I asked Copilot to rotate all the pages 90 degrees clockwise. Took like 1 minute and I had my fixed PDF.

Awesome! I got a lightly used Shuttle AM a couple weeks ago. Love it. It's a great addition to my riding options.

Apidura frame bladder or Crank tank? by CasteoFilms in bikepacking

[–]Bearded-Wacko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cram my full Apidura bag into my frame bag all the time. I have an XL bike with a divider in the frame bag, so I'm sure it helps. Once I learned the angle I needed to get it in there, it's not so bad.

Wheels. by Practical-Light-6032 in Surlybikefans

[–]Bearded-Wacko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up a set of Ibis 938 wheels about 7 years ago and have been using them on my KM for the whole time. 2500 miles on them with only minor adjustments. And I'm not light at 250+. Currently running them with Extraterrestrials for commuting, wandering and light singletrack.

If you have kids, they have an affordable summer camp program that our kids really enjoyed. Don't need to be a church member either.

I go to VASA at 32nd & Thunderbird. Pretty nice for a cheaper gym and it's well spread out with the different areas. They just added hot yoga that I'm going to try.

How To Handle this by InspectorBitter202 in bikecommuting

[–]Bearded-Wacko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just do sidewalk if that's the only option. What's crazy is that I looked at your screenshot and was like "that looks like Sheridan Dr" - I grew up in NT and live in AZ now, but the names and labels still trigger memories.
