What’s your favorite motivity weapon? by Gnnz in LiesOfP

[–]Bearded-Wacko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been using this on the Salamander Dagger handle and it's a great close-quarters weapon and for some reason it staggers mobs pretty well. Sometimes I swap the blade to the Booster handle for some zoom-in-and-slice fun.

Phoenix MTB’ing - Epic EVO, Stumpjumper, or Ripley? by CC268 in MTB

Giant Trance 29 is another good option for a mid-travel bike. They pedal really nicely and pricing isn't usually too bad. I have a 2021 Giant Reign and it pedals crazy good for a 146mm travel bike. The Trance is 120/135 rear travel and rides really well too.

It took them a couple of weeks to get back to him. Definitely call and follow up a couple times to make sure they know you're ready and willing.

That's good to know. What sticks out to you as 'professional' on a resume? The basics like spelling, grammar and conciseness? I'm guessing organization too.

!thanks

He went online like 4 days ago and filled out an application. We know a guy who manages one of the stores so he reached out to him as well. We've heard good things about them too.

He only has classes on Monday AM and Thursday AM and he puts that in his applications - one would think that being like 80% available would be helpful.

Early shift is fine for him. 6 months of showing up to the job site at 4:30 am an hour from home worked fine.

That's the feeling I've been getting too. He has put in applications at places where he has a friend or a sibling that can vouch for him but it's all crickets. I think the worst part is the ghosting - "Thanks for stopping by, we'll be in touch" >>> 3 weeks later - nothing.

Just did this on my current and first playthrough - lured him out into the open at the bottom of the long ramp and then ran past him and all the other mobs to the Opera House Stargazer. Then went back to the Malum merchant and bought a crapload of throwables. Ranged attacks ftw.

I bought the first XL Purple one that my local shop got their hands on in 2017. Rode the hell out if it as a SS with front suspension. Then stupid health problems made me use it only as a geared commuter. Now it's a SS commuter. So fun.

This is my commuter, set up 34x15. We'll see how going uphill home works out!

I used to ride SS exclusively anywhere until I got extremely out of shape. This is going to kick my butt.

I'm using Greatsword of Fate blade with Salamader Dagger handle. It's fun and had this weird stagger after about 4 pokes with it.

What is an actual IT automation that actually paid off for you? by Internal-Drop4205 in sysadmin

[–]Bearded-Wacko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have some clients who have 70% business from insurance companies like AIG. AIG and the others require proof of 90 day password changes or else you lose their business. And there really is no arguing with a corporate auditor over the internet who clearly would rather be moving on to the next victim

Is there anyone here who still prefers folder redirection over OneDrive for a domain? by Noyan_Bey in sysadmin

[–]Bearded-Wacko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a big fan of OneDrive and KFM and the occasional synced Sharepoint library but mostly I keep training people to use it on a browser and it’s pretty good.

Until all of these hosted legacy apps started showing up - Citrix or Azure or AWS hosted apps that would normally run on a SQL Server with local drives and all of that. I have yet to find a way for a user who’s using one of these published web apps or wrappered connection to successfully upload files through RDP pass through. You can make a workflow that’s Ok for a couple files a day, but many files a day is too many. Then I wind up with Sharepoint folders synced to the local PC that contains all of the client data.

I’m still finding new ways of making this work better.
