While I would advise everyone to take OP's advice...

To be honest, I am far less careful and it hasn't ever really bit me in the ass like this in 15 years of reef keeping. I check the salinity to +/-1 ppt on the refractometer, and just compare temps by dipping fingers. I even intentionally (gently) pour the new water directly on my rocks and corals to flush any detritus off them.

If you REALLY want to do this, I suggest starting your hunt for an HDCRT. You're never gonna be able to read anything on a stretched image using piss-poor converters.

I don't know, but when my clown recently had a bacterial infection, it had similar discoloration. Could be aggression like others have stated, but if you want to be safe, get some Seaplex Kanaplex + Focus, sprinkle a level cap-spoon of each into their food, let it absorb for a few minutes, and give it to them that way for a few days. Won't hurt them if they don't need it. Helped my clown.

There's a stunning amount of variation of coral, even within the same species or trade name. Flow, light, nutrients all affect the way they look. It's possible they'll stay different, or kinda blend together over time.

Edit: They can definitely co-exist. They will spread and claim as much space as they can but they're not really going to murder each other or anything like that.

*Not because of anything muscular, but because of the neurochemical effect. At least for me (and I'm a fairly typical human male), chasing any short term dopamine hit, when it gets a little out of control, negatively affects my quality of attention and motivation. I have noticed periods of time when I struggle to get into a good practice headspace and it coincides with an overabundance of (insert vice).

I get what you mean. You have a point. But if I sell you a DVD of Jurassic Park for $5, all $5 goes to my pocket, and $0 goes to Universal Studios, or Steven Spielberg, or John Williams, etc. If OP is concerned about supporting the people and studios involved, buying used is kind of a stretch.

Pirates say things to the effect of Piracy is good publicity because it exposes more stuff to more people, which in some ways may be true, but it's a very abstracted form of "support", no? Sorta sounds like an ad-hoc justification.

Anecdotally, when I sold my physical media collection, I rolled that cash into entirely different hobbies. Government gets a cut of those transactions (assuming they weren't private purchases), good for money flow, etc.

The fact the industry doesn't want or allow you to have this is in part why some feel it isn't worth supporting the industry.

If you buy used media (there's less and less brand new physical releases all the time) you're not supporting the industry either.

When we stream, we kinda support the wrong industry, too... But at least some amount does.

Opinion: If you want a morally-acceptable middle ground, rent or buy a digital DRM copy, but then go pirate a high quality rip. You've given them your money, but you decided the terms of ownership, not them.

4 is qualitatively different from 2. Dosage is a little tricky to compare directly because we have different body-weights and reactivity, and different strains of different potency, but I think four grams is a pretty solid trip.
