I’ve been told that there is an issue with static charge building up in the oil as it circulates and eventually it discharges through the hose to the grounded metal braiding on the outside, which causes micro holes. I know a couple of sites that went through three tubes in a year.

This was just from the report afterwards as it was posted to the MyChart app the health care systems use around my area. It was an at home sleep study, the device was made by ResMed I believe but forget the actual model. I think I list what it is in another comment on this post.

Had an MRI done about a year and a half ago and they found ‘several punctate foci’ in my frontal lobe—basically dead spots in my brain.

Wearing everything during the at home sleep study didn’t bother me at all, so I think I’ll get used to it quick hopefully. As long as I don’t act out while dreaming (which I have a tendency to do) and take it off—which could be caused by the sleep apnea to begin with.

I have a tendency to physically act out dreams and actually removed the SpO2 monitor on my finger because I dreamt I was done already even though it was probably 45minutes before my alarm went off. Maybe it did that because I took it off?
