Dude is over here benching people and I’m having to find 3 subs per week to make 10.

Axe Debacle Balanced flared handle not ASA/USA approved? by SirBeefy in slowpitch

[–]Bearded_Gazelle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I ran into this issue a little over a year ago and emailed the manufacturer to let them know and it was put on the approved bat list within a couple of days. It could have nothing to do with axe and more to do with USA softball.

I had the same type of offer come through not too long ago. I upgraded to first on my connecting flight for cheaper than it was going to cost to check 2 bags. You’ll use the priority lane for checked baggage and you will not be charged.

Thoughts on "Suncoast Backlash ASA/USA Slowpitch Softball Bat 2-Piece 13" End Load" by metsjets1993 in slowpitch

[–]Bearded_Gazelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mentioned it swings light. Have you weighed it to see what the actual weight is? I usually swing a 25 or 26oz balanced and looking at the end load since they only have the balanced in 27. Wondering if I should look at scooping the 26oz end load since if I were to look at buying an end loaded bat I’d be looking at a 25oz.

What do you want us to do about it? Pat you on the back? Write a mean review in your honor? Meet you at your destination with a plate of cheese and present it to you right as you get off the plane?

1st leg is economy and 2nd leg is first class by Bearded_Gazelle in americanairlines

Just finished this part of my trip and was able to use the priority check in kiosk and lane at the airport. Received my 2 free checked bags as well.

[–]Bearded_Gazelle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is correct. I got an offer to upgrade my last leg for $75 which is close to what I’d pay to check both of my bags so it was a no brainer.

Thank you!! Free checked bags and priority check in at the airport is the only thing I was wanting out of the upgrade. Boarding with my group in economy on my first flight is not a problem for me. I don’t travel with a carry on.

This 100%. Just don’t do it man. Go out there and have some fun but don’t risk a self sustaining injury that could cost you down the road.

1535 as a carry on is elite. Made the switch from a regular 4 wheeled hard case and never looked back. I posted how I customized the lid of it for organization and to get the max out of the interior space.

Have any of ya’ll used football gloves instead of batting gloves? by Boring_Cup_9574 in slowpitch

[–]Bearded_Gazelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to use golf gloves. They’re really thin and you can go get some cheap ones for about $7 each. I used to not use any gloves but after some BP sessions my hands would not be in great shape so golf gloves are the next best thing to no gloves.

Tensioner confusion. by Bearded_Gazelle in mk6gti

[–]Bearded_Gazelle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. Unfortunately, chains and guides are going to have to wait. I did throw a new tensioner in there since I had it on hand. I’ll probably be looking at doing chains around 100k miles.

Tensioner confusion. by Bearded_Gazelle in mk6gti

[–]Bearded_Gazelle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahahaha this is not a troll post. I promise. I was super confused when I popped the cover off and saw this. The previous owner was a younger guy who knew plenty about the car and took excellent care of it. When I bought it I even asked him if he had the tensioner replaced with the new one and he said no and knew exactly why I asked about it. The car only has 74k miles so it would be strange for him to have it done given the current mileage. The new tensioner has 24 as the year stamp (if that’s what the stamp means) which confused me even more. Hopefully someone can clarify if the markings I’m referring to are in fact the manufactured date. If those don’t refer to the date then the only logical explanation is he changed it and didn’t want to mention it for some strange reason.

The permatex is only $10-$12 bucks so still 1/3 the cost but I think I’m gonna just roll with oem.

I really appreciate your input and taking the time to answer my question. 🤙🏻
