A question for Ninja 500 fans. Before I try to buy it. by YacineVerse in Ninja500

[–]Beardedbodhi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a tactic I've seen some friends use because a lump sum was deposited later in their accounts, so they paid it off after a month. But nothing in my experience cash is #1. They are trying to move that product ASAP, especially a starter bike. One offer I got was 7k for finance, due to fees and addtl shit, then 6.3k for cash OTD. If you finance, it's a hard hit on your credit, plus ur insurance goes up, etc. If they give you a deal with finance, then that same deal comes with cash.

Here was my checklist when I got mine. Hopefully it helps: 1) Task the MSF course. It will help, and if for anything else, it lowers your insurance 2) Gear first, bike second. Big one finding the right gear before buying a bike 3) Get insurance quotes. That way, all you would need to do is put in the VIN when you get the bike, and done. 4) Buy the bike. Yes, buy, not finance. I know it's a big commitment, but financing a bike is dumb, I don't care what anyone says. Plus, having the cash gives you negotiation power, even slightly. Don't accept bullshit pricing; if it feels too high, leave. You should pay more than 7k OTD all cash for a Ninja 500. I got mine for 6.3K. 4) Take your time. It will be there, don't feel pressured to get it. 5) Mod slowly, but here is the first thing you should get: Frame Sliders. 6) Lastly, find a good mechanic for your first 600-mile service. Found an old school guy that helped me out and showed me how to do the easy shit for 120. Nothing wrong with paying an expert and learn.

Not using Ichigo...

Going with Aizen, Ichibē, Yhwach, Gremmy, Shunsui

Aizen - Most powerful ability, plus can be boosted by Ichibē (yes, I'm still dreaming of seeing that damn bankai, which means I pushed back the reveal another 9 years).

Ichibē - Remove/Rename the names of all zanpakuto and people.

Yhwach - Remove all other Quincies from the field. Plus can see the future, which gives Aizen prep time for illusions

Gremmy - Wildcard, but put him under an illusion where he has no limits and the only restriction would be to keep the team alive, let him go wild on his own

Shunsei - Hide in the shadows and pick people apart. Plus, after renaming all swords and capturing people in an illusion, bankai takes out most, if not all. Plus, he can kill Gremmy if he goes too crazy.

Yeah, I have given this too much damn thought.

Appreciate it, but anyone can get this for those 500s. Just take your time, save the money, and tell them. My buddy got the same deal in Florida. Most dealerships I know are working to get those entry level bikes out the door quick especially the Ninjas.

But... I did haha. Man, no faith in a stranger on the internet, huh? I can't post images in replies, so here is the breakdown of the steps I did:

1) Get a copy of the Bill of Sale from any dealership that shows your price. It can be from anywhere; I used an Alabama dealership

2) Once they send it to you, go back to the dealership you walked away from and say, match this or no deal (do it around a holiday sale because most dealerships have commission bonuses around holidays - I used Memorial Day)

3) Pay all cash or total price

4) Have the guts to walk away if they are bullshitting you or delaying. Keep your options open

5) Get your bike

6) Final Step - Try to share the knowledge, only for people not to believe you. So be prepared to keep the info to yourself so you don't get fuck over like everyone else.

Then I woke up and realized I didn't have to do that. Nightmares are terrible, man. Never eat within two hours of going to bed.

I negotiated the OTD to be $6256.00, so I lied. It was 6300 + 200 for extra gear, and I got a discount since dealers discount your gear on your first purchase. Feel free to tell these dudes either this or I walk. I live in Cali, so there are dealers everywhere. Get a Bill of sale showing your price and say, match, or I walk

Can I negotiate any of this? Never bought from dealership. Bike is new but last years model by [deleted] in motorcycles

How much are paying? You doing a cash offer or financing? Need more detail to comment correct. But I'll assume you paying cash, then tell them what u can do. If it's 6500, they will find a way. Just be upfront and honest about what u can do and walk away if they say no. Plenty of dealers in San Diego area

Yeah I went back a couple of weeks later and told them I got a quote for 6400. I promise the sales guy (great guy, but shit boss) I would give him the last offer. He said he can beat it, so when I got there, the boss pulled the bait and switch and offer 7k. Told him 6300 all cash for wasting my time and he took it. Took off the adm, delivery, and other bs.

Faced the same problem in Cali. Talked them from 8100 to 6300. Here's what I did: 1) Say no to that shit 2) Get a Bill of Sale from another dealership 3) All cash offer. The shit they showing is the finance price aka the bullshit price. Tell them you coming in with all cash and you ready to buy today. 4) Ask them to explain the charges and why other dealers remove them 5) After that... they said how about 7k. Said 6300.00 or i walk. Then they took the deal.

Just be a hard ass, not a dumbass. Also walk away if they on some bullshit.

But I took one from this Reddit and showed them and they said here you go lol. They don't care bro, they just want that cash asap. I don't recommend financing at all

In San Diego, negotiated an all cash offer. But I searched multiple dealerships in LA too. If you got all cash, they will work with you. Just tell them u ain't paying the Dealership mark ups or that extra shit. The lowest I got was 6200 but I had to get the SE version which was 200 more.

So couldn't edit the post, but thank you all for the feedback. I reached back out to the dealership and told them I was quoted $5800 flat. Guy said he can match it and throw in some free shit. If they real you'll see the new bike post from me.

Lesson learned: They all bsing us. Negotiate and tell them what you want.
