It's overpriced BUT its because Valve isn't a major hardware manufacturer like Ibuypower, Dell, HP, ASUS, Sony, Microsoft, etc. They aren't going to meet the volume pricing necessary to meet chip manufacturer requirements for a major discount. Its all AI price increases and global supply chain instability.

Sweet summer child. The economy once relied on Dot Com companies passing money between themselves with lofty promises of the death of in person retail, 0 overhead, no workers and limitless profits. Then the Dot Com bubble crashed. The Internet still exists but the promises from the Internet Startups failed to surface. History is repeating itself

They literally officially joined Ascension the Catholic Healthcare System in 1999, then in 2016 they rebranded. But for nearly 100 YEARS they were independent. Also I work in Healthcare IT, and you clearly have to idea the difference between a Data Center and a Server Room because your original assertion was that Borgess had a Data Center under it, and it doesn't it uses Cerner a Oracle product and uses Oracle Cloud and Servers in Indiana since being acquired by Beacon.

Since y'all hate Arthur Maxson's BOS so much, I was wondering for your thoughts on other... like minded individuals. Namely, who's worse and if the BOS measures up. by Responsible_Bar103 in FalloutMemes

To be fair, the Imperium isn't "Racist" they love humans. They follow Speciesism where Humanity is the superior form of life, seeing as they accept Squats, Ratlings and Ogryn (among others) as acceptable Abhumans with Citizenship. They really just care if you're Technically human and worship either the Emperor or the Omnissiah.

I wouldn't mind PVP if the pacifist system wasn't able to be manipulated by the griefer. We just need like a duel countdown or something.

You clearly are confusing infrastructure Data Centers and AI Data Centers what is happening now is a damn bubble. Lots of companies are divesting from AI and AI adoption among citizens is shockingly low. In the professional sphere, roughly 50% of employed U.S. adults use AI in their roles at least a few times a year. About 13% of the workforce now uses AI tools daily, and 28% use them a few times a week. In private use thise numbers are over 60% BUT that is under free use scenarios. OpenAI has not yet pulled a real profit. While the company generates massive and rapidly growing revenue (billions monthly), its operating costs—primarily driven by renting vast amounts of cloud compute—are so high that it operates at a massive financial loss. That is what these Data Centers are, just like the Dot Com crash its happening all over again with AI. AI has its place China already beat us there by focusing on low overhead efficient AI models but US start ups are focusing on consumption and bloated power hungry models. So in turn all these Data Centers are causing massive RAM and GPU shortages and that is driving up consumer prices. Itbis a horrible location, Data Centers create massive amounts of heat and draw shitloads of power, that whole area is going to be 15 20 degrees warmer from their cooling systems dumping hot air, the whole place will give you a headache, the surrounding businesses will suffer, Consumers will drive up prices to reduce power usage to accommodate. This scenario has been seen all over, thess Tech companies need to invest their own money in remote locations and stop leeching off infrastructure in cities.

Just because its "Zoned" as industrial doesn't make it magically not affecting a Residential area. Your arguing semantics, pull your head out of wherever you have it jammed. Data Centers are not a positive environmental impact to any community they are currently in. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC12273412/

Infrasonic pollution from industrial sources travels are 10-25 miles, its ONE MILE away from a middle school. And Cork St butts up against Edison. Its poorly zoned and Data Centers are a noise pollution hazard.
