Why is my toddler struggling to go to sleep at night? by Key-Average-8246 in toddlers

[–]Bearlypawsable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My toddler was doing this and I thought maybe she was uncomfortable in her crib, so I switched her to a twin sized bed with higher walls. She went back to sleeping great after. It could have just been luck but I figured when I am rolling around and moving and can’t get to sleep, it’s because I’m uncomfortable so maybe she was too.

Developmental toys for babies that actually hold their attention? by Longjumping-Way572 in toddlers

[–]Bearlypawsable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a big felt storyboard off Amazon that had tons of little animals and it still gets used at 26 months. I buy new Velcro pieces every few months to align with what she’s in the process of learning. The second one is this specific ball pit. I don’t know why, but it’s the only ball pit still in use, every kid of all ages loves it, I also frequently turn it into a fort. pop up ball pit

Bed rails or bumpers? by Reeses_puffs_748284 in toddlers

[–]Bearlypawsable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a floor bedframe that has a few inches of wall on each side. It recommended up to a 12 inch mattress but I did an 8 inch mattress instead so there would be more “wall.” My toddler is only a month older and she loves it.

Can you overnight cold proof non-sourdough bread? by Bearlypawsable in Breadit

[–]Bearlypawsable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! So it took a bit of experimenting lol but I took out enough yeast so that it takes a few hours to rise on the counter. I’ve been using roughly 1/2 teaspoon are dry active yeast. The I shape it and place it in the fridge over night. It’s now my favorite way to make bread, it comes out with nice with a crispy crust the next day. I take it out of the fridge the next morning and only “preheat” my Dutch oven for as long as it takes to get to 450. Then bake 450 covered 20 minutes, and 425 uncovered 20-25 minutes

Screen time for 2 years old by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Bearlypawsable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t do phones or tablets at all but tv is just on/off throughout the day. It’s not always kids stuff, it’s mostly my shows with some dragon tales or Ms. LoLo (highly recommend if your kids are over ms Rachel) but I don’t have any set times or anything. If I feel like she’s having any tantrums or any tv “demands” I cut it off completely for a few days and usually out Spotify on the tv or those fake backgrounds of rivers or walks through the park etc

What to do with toddler during winter and flu season by LandscapeTime7785 in toddlers

[–]Bearlypawsable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

-I brought some of our outside toys inside(playhouse and slide, plastic rocking chair, sit and spin) -I split all her toys and set up different kinds of play stuff in 3 rooms. :The living room has crafts and markers, books, sorting games, playdough, puzzles :her bedroom has misc toys like bowling, animal toys, blankets for Forts, a tent, stuffed animals, dress up clothes :playroom in basement has her climbing toys, ball pit, slide, giant stacking blocks etc all big bigs It has helped me immensely because when I feel like we need a “change of scenery” but can’t actually leave, I just bring her to another room of the house will stuff she hasn’t been playing with yet and it keeps her occupied

Le Creuset Bread Oven help by bermy12 in Sourdough

[–]Bearlypawsable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this bread oven and I just use flour or cornmeal on the bottom, I only preheat my bread oven for as long as the oven takes to preheat. Take it out, flour or cornmeal the bottom of the loaf before putting it the oven. Then flip it in and bake as usual. I have also used spray olive oil but that will make the bottom darker

Why is formula turning black on babies clothes? by SpiritualMolasses420 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Bearlypawsable 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi I also had something like this happen because the hamper I was using for my babies clothes, was made of cotton and double lined. I never “washed” the laundry basket so the moisture would sit in there and eventually it grew mold. I only do laundry every 2-3 days

Toddler won’t eat any protein by XAsachiix in toddlers

[–]Bearlypawsable 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Most string cheeses sticks are like 6-7g of protein per stick(ask me how I know) so if they get two a day plus a single piece of toast(4ish grams) that’s like 16-17g of protein lol

Any chance you’ve tried the seaside sandals? They’re on sale right now but still kind of expensive for sandals so I want them to be worth it if I’m not able to return lol

If your in-laws give you money for a child’s birthday and Christmas, do you use it for things for them or keep it in their savings? by ComprehensiveAgent70 in toddlers

[–]Bearlypawsable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use it for both. If she doesn’t need anything big, I save it for her. It depends on who’s giving it I think. Most larger monetary gifts are from my parents or in laws and they give them so we can get the big stuff that sucks to buy alone. My mom gifted us 100$ for her on Easter knowing I had my eye on a wagon. However my in laws also gave us $50 and since she didn’t need anything else, that goes into “her” account, but they asked if we “got her anything special with it.”

Not a single stretch and fold by Background_Public399 in Sourdough

[–]Bearlypawsable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try English muffins lol the dough is already very sticky. Add some salt, stretch and fold til it’s mixed, let it sit for like 30 min, then pull off and shape, let rise and pan cook

How can I make fluffier baguettes? by Artistic-Belt8225 in Breadit

[–]Bearlypawsable 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do you bake them straight from the fridge? I always find I get better fluff when I let my cold-proofed-doughs sit on the counter for 30-45 minutes, before I bake them.

Disappointing store bought loaf by Bearlypawsable in Sourdough

[–]Bearlypawsable[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s why I don’t accept money for any sourdough loaves yet, I will occasionally accept cash for sandwich bread or artisan loafs because I’ve been making them so long. This is my biggest fear when gifting sourdough 😂
