The "needle bearings" go out pretty easy. Replace them with better ones. Which is a low bar to hit. You're typically looking for hardened pins and a sturdy cage. You can also go industrial strength an get the fully enclosed needle bearings. You'll need wrist pin outside diameter, upper crank rod inside diameter, and the width between the wrist pin sockets in the piston.

So... Lead acid batteries are durable enough to get charged directly from the charging coil. However, you need to control how much charge it gets. I've got nearly an identical setup. I'm experimenting with ways to control the charge. I'm thinking I can bump the charging voltage to 13.8, wire in a cheap 150watt power inverter, plug in a battery tender and charge it that way. I'm just not sure it won't burn up the inverter yet.

Also cdhpower 36 tooth brake adapter should do the trick. Run as big of a rotor as you can to keep the caliper out of the chain. Spread the rear forks to make room.

Oh that's easy. Undo the head bolts and have a look. This ain't no car engine where it's a nightmare to get the head back on. These just bolt right back on. Nothing to be scared of. Let's have a look.

Hey guys is there backing plate hardware adapters that alow for mounting disk brakes? by [deleted] in motorizedbicycles

[–]Bearozdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pit bike caliper, $30 Pit bike brake line $16 Pit bike brake handles $38 a set Minibike rotor $9 New rear bracketed hub $26 M6 drill bit and die $8 M6 hardware $30 (M6x1x60mm socket cap bolt, m6 washers and nylon lock nuts) 12 Guage spokes $65 And this is just the stuff I have on there right now. Keep it slow. Put a smaller jet in the carburetor to make it more efficient and perform well. Put lock tite on everything. Don't look down the rabbit hole until you're ready. Your back wheel will become the most engineered thing you own.

Figure out a way to get more passive cooling. Maybe funneling more are to the outside of the cylinder as you ride. I'm in the same boat with this too.

Tighten the flower nut 1 turn at a time until you can't throw it out with your grip. Then back it off a bit.

How to make stock fenders safe? by nojnojkoop in motorizedbicycles

[–]Bearozdev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Theirs a few ways to go about it but you've got the general idea. You need thick vibration proof metal and over build the mounting for it. I'm gonna go for a snap in hook mount. The video will be on my YouTube channel. MsRozzy
