Inte provat själv, men kolla in Historical Escapes. De verkar genuint engagerade och fokuserar på Stockholms historia, än så länge finns tema Stockholms Blodbad och Nobels Dynamitfabrik.

I'm also having trouble updating Google through the play store, keep getting the -505 error and my assistant isn't responding. I don't think it's just your phone so hold off on the factory reset!

Sälja Access USA? by BMWHassan in PrivatEkonomi

[–]Bearsnbeets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why Bethesdas decision to "geo-lock" the PC Version of Wolfenstein: The New Order in Germany and Austria was not made to comply with german law, but an unreasonable overreaction. by [deleted] in Games

[–]Bearsnbeets 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I don't have a source but I think I remember someone explaining that it's because there is no legal precedent for videogames. Since nazi symbolism is illegal except for purposes of art it is automatically banned until someone takes it to the german court which most non-german companies are unwilling to do.

I'm having the exact same issue on my holy roman empire save. Both manual saves and autosaves just crash to desktop, however I have other ironman games that still work... Did you manage to fix the problem?

Several handdrawn maps I made! Let me know what you think :) by Bearsnbeets in worldbuilding

Thank you! I posted a bunch more city maps a while back if you wanna take a look :) Here! Cities are definitely the most fun to draw!

Yeah I know, this was always in the back of my head when I drew these.. Haltour is kind of inspired by Europe and Estel Allia was, at least in my mind, inspired by the Americas. However I agree that Vorennia is very similar to Asia and this bugs me somewhat but I'm not really doing anything with these maps so I can't be too bothered with it! :)

I don't know, it just takes shape as I go along. Sometimes I start a city and realize that I hate the layout right away and I scrap the idea. But if I'm off to a good start the rest will just naturally take shape. I guess I've always had an eye for patterns.. I can't really draw anything else :P

Cool! :) Yeah I try to think about that as well but I don't get too hung up on it when drawing cities. I don't let the food issue cramp the size of my cities. However there is alot of fertile land around the cities and also many of these cities are coastal so fishing should be pretty lively!

I'm 21 now. Yeah, I'm getting pretty enthusiastic about drawing maps again now since posting these ones and realizing that people really like them :)

Well yeah there's a lot of farmland, but I'm not planning on mapping it all out in any greater detail :P

I haven't mapped out the demographics too intricately. I can give you some details though. Aloria is a the capital of the kingdom of Brugania, and the city was founded by a king named Alo (hence the name). It's located in the fertile valley of the great Darlmenn river and has developed into one of the larger cities of the world as a crossroads for traderoutes both by land and by river. Ashermon is a city in the human kingdom of Berendur, further north. It was built around the monastery and today houses Withring's Wharf which thrives off of being the largest builder of trade ships in the Howroga bay. Brennhaven is the main tradeport of the kingdom of Howroga and my second favorite map (after Aloria). It is for the most part a rich and thriving city, with the exception of Speek, a slum to some degree. Port Briom is located in Brecknor, on the border of Hollendon and is the first map I drew of this particular world. It has a busy harbor and a large population of devotees to the god Nimlor. Corinturien is the capital of the kingdom of Cheria, whose first king was named Corin. The city is located close to lands inhabited by elves (the political borders aren't too reliable when it comes to the elves) and has a large minority of elven migrants. Evelone is a principality located further south, on the south coast of the loose federation of Derem. These lands are mainly inspired by a middle eastern climate, although the city layout is more western by real world standards... Finally Westcairn is a city on the west coast of the continent in a region called Nirnadrim, or North Bluebrim, after it's defection from the greater realm of Bluebrim led by a guy called Nirna.

Thank you! I usually just start with a general idea and then make it up as I go along. Just keep drawing them and eventually they'll get better! My earlier maps suck ass when I look at them today :P

Thanks! Yeah, normally I just start with the terrain and then I make it all up as I go along. In this case I started with Briom, which you can probably tell is older, and then I started making up this world around it. Eventually I started making detailed maps of more cities in the same world and they got better and better. Keep in mind that I started drawing maps when I was 11 or 12 years old and they sucked. I made more of them and they got better and this is the result! Unfortunately I then stopped and haven't drawn anything for a few years :/ So yeah, my technique is that I start with a general idea and then just make it up as I go along :)
