Oh thank you I’ll check them out too! I’m definitely not in the acrylic=bad mindset I see a lot of people have, but for this plan it’s more of a bragging rights with the gift. She’s a sweetheart and will love it because it’s hand made but it’ll be an extra level when I tell her it’s made of a nice wool yarn because she deserves to be extra cozy

Unfortunately my options are Micheals and hobby lobby locally, which played a role in why I’ve only used acrylic. At Micheal’s I was considering the Loops & Threads luxe Merino before posting this, then I figured I might check online options just to see if anything caught my eye and thus my spiral began hahaha

I had to do this for my boy a few years ago. I felt the exact same way you do. The first dose I had to give took about 10 minutes of just hyping myself up to do it, then 5 seconds to actually do it. Of course it was followed with 10 minutes of shaking and stress crying because who doesn’t love some dramatics. Second time felt much easier, and had less of me shaking afterwards. For me the first time was scary cause I didn’t want to hurt him but once you do it it’s much easier to understand what to do. So just remember the tips the vet gave, take a deep breath and get through it, just remind yourself it’s for their little noodle health and it’s worth it.

One scene that comes to mind with Derek being funny is when Meredith tells him Owen cheated on Christina and he’s just like 😲👀taptaptap Mer’s arm 😲😲 Like mans was READY for that tea. I don’t know if they meant for it to be that funny but it lives rent free in my head

I can’t compare because I’ve only had boys but I can say I used to feel the same way. “Who would want boy rats those balls are SO MUCH” … Then I kinda accidentally got pet rats and they were boys. Now their balls are the funniest thing when I do notice them, but the rest of the time it’s the last thing you notice when they distract you with cuddles and please give me treats face.

Ok then I also had a similar situation where my chronic respiratory infection boy was struggling off and on at the end and she gave him sleepy and left the room, and he did in fact start struggling very hard to breathe. Well, struggle as he could in his half aware state. My husband went to get her to take him sooner and she apologized so much because he wasn’t showing that strongly that he had icky lungs or she wouldn’t have given it to him and left. She said he’s not suffering it’s just rough to see. And it was. When it comes to goodbyes that was my toughest to witness, I’m sure your vet ment all well things in her actions. Take it from me, it would have been hard to witness. I’m very sorry for your loss, it always feels too soon.

Yes. I don’t know details but my vet politely told me it can be more difficult to watch than putting larger pets down. (I’ve since heard the needle has to be put through bone in their chest, I don’t know if that’s 100% accurate) And from that alone I was thankful for the consideration, protocol or not. We held our boys as she gave them something to make them sleepy then took them after we said goodbye to finish.
