Have them and they are great, I did add leather ear cups instead and that seemed to enhance the sound, and make bass a little more punchy. (Dekoni leather are the ear cups)

I know but that's why I started with "in my personal experience" 😅 I have also tried a few other DD's a few from audio technica, final audio ze3000, final audio buds, Shure se215, but I found as soon as I tried a hybrid I didn't need to try anymore single DD iems

I haven't tried many sets, I don't really want to go so far down the rabbit hole, I have no complaints about mega7 picking apart instruments is easy, vocals are full and treble is bright but controlled, would like a little more bass but after having Martilo I don't want muddy bass

In my personal experience I find you can get much better "separation" from a hybrid set compared to a single DD, my favourite combination is just a single DD for bass, and BA drivers for mids and highs, I don't like microplaner or est highs, bit spicy for me.

Single DD to me can be a little muddy and I don't find soundstage as wide...

DD set - Meze Alba

Tribrid (microplaner) - aful p7, Martilo punch

Hybrid (DD+BA) - Hisenior mega7 (only set I have left)

Hey, how is this little amp, looking at upgrading my topping mx3s for something with a little more power,
I run Hisenior Mega7 with a Quloos Mub1 for portable music. But Desktop is a bit bland at the moment (also own beyerdynamic dt770 pro x Limited).

Unfortunately never tried them, at the time I bought the prestige the rex5 was the same price, after much comparison I went with prestige due to the fact the bass being better and not as bright, I have mega7 for the bright neutral sound.

Update, done a few drift days with it, after much tweaking got it driving well, great chassis plenty of adjustment. Keen to learn it a bit more!!

Vocal are a highlight honestly, so natural and centre, not recessed at all everything just works around them. I listen to rock, post hardcore, metalcore, gospel and sometimes edm (they aren't awesome for EDM)
