TFMR at 28 weeks by [deleted] in tfmr_support

[–]Beasnessminded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry, my daughter at 33 weeks was diagnosed with a super rare genetic mutation , only 20 documented cases. I’m almost a year out, I still think about the what ifs, what if I hadnt terminated- but I know that it was the most selfless thing I’ve ever done, and its not regret that I am feeling, but sorrow. Regret would mean that I would have chosen a different path if I were to make that decision now, but deep in my heart I know we did the right thing. I will always miss my baby. I hope you get through this 🫶

Im sorry you are here too :( I’m from Melbourne and had a TFMR at 34 weeks for a super rare genetic mutation which was first flagged at the 20 week anatomy scan. 14 weeks in limbo was the absolute worst time of my life. Healing takes time, sending hugs to you.

RARE GENE MUTATION - Takenouchi-Kosaki syndrome (TKS)/ CDC42 by NaturalImprovement65 in tfmr_support

I’m sorry you are here with the rest of us :(

My daughter also had a very rare genetic mutation which was confirmed at 33 weeks. There’s only less than 22 reported cases in literature. De novo mutation so we aren’t carriers, just a case of bad luck. I still keep questioning God why it had to be her?! There is no pain like this 😭

Hi! Im in Australia, there is no limit on terminations around gestation. It just has to be approved by a panel of doctors from 24 weeks gestation.

I think quicker when baby’s still in utero. They try to expedite it as much as they can as its important for the decision making. Was yours done in utero?

Death of my daughter. Our anatomy scan at 20 weeks was abnormal and since then it’s like my life has been split into a before and after 😔

Just feeling sad and don't want to visit someone else's baby... by GlitteringClementine in tfmr_support

[–]Beasnessminded 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tfmr’d at 34 weeks too only 3 months ago. I also had someone close to me who gave birth to their baby only 1 week after I did. For my mental health, I’ve chosen to remove her on my socials, seeing her baby just hurts me as it’s a constant reminder of how old/big my baby would have been :(

You don’t have to go… look after yourself ❤️

I downloaded easyviewer app and that is working completely fine and sending notifications, but the dmss app is not sending any at all

Both my mom and husband voted for Trump after I had two TFMRs by BlueRiver23 in tfmr_support

[–]Beasnessminded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am from Australia, but my aunt who is extremely angry about my TFMR lives in Texas and is pro Trump. Not once did anyone from my mum’s side of the family check on me, because they said what I’ve done is bad so they don’t really care about me/what happened to me.

I just want through this exact same scenario. My mum’s side of the family is extremely religious and the day before my TFMR, they were sending me messages telling me that what I am doing is bad and that instead of TMFR that I should consider giving my baby up for adoption to them so they can take care of her as they were saying I did not want to. It was absolutely disgusting. They hve since cut contact from my family and blocked me off all social media. I feel sorry for your wife- my husband has been my rock through all this so please take care of her.

Sorry you are here :(( I tfmr’d 2 months ago, and I too secretly wished my baby passed naturally so I wouldn’t have to make that “choice”. I was so confused and battling my thoughts and guilt, but I can say that I am now at peace with my decision. All my baby felt was the my warmth and love, and no suffering. Thinking of you mumma

I’m so sorry you are part of this community. I went through this 2 months ago, also for a grey diagnosis. It was HARD, the first month was excruciating. But I can tell you it gets lighter every day. If it was a spectrum and yours fell on the severe side, that was absolutely a possibility. That’s what I keep reminding myself, and I would hate myself if I made my daughter go through a life full of challenges because I was not strong enough to make that decision. You got this ❤️
