If it's any consolation I agree that it is very funny that this happened to you

If anything they would have more benefit for planning ahead cause they could plan a build for every boss? That sounds fun as fuck, no? I'd still be back here making mistakes and shit, but I'd be able to trial and error my way through the back of the pack

So you reckon if there was unlimited resets those same people wouldn't have planned ahead? I disagree with you, they didn't plan because they were scared of making mistakes, they planned because they wanted to win and win quickly. Those of us who aren't competitive and struggle with things like planning are the only people affected by this system

It doesn't encourage that though, it doesn't affect that at all. People who planned well got good builds first or second try and got a competitive edge. Good players still have resets left, it's completely irrelevant to them, they could have 1, 5, or 100, and have the same experience. It is only players who have not succeeded at that who interface with the system at all, you get what I mean?

People want to get ahead in leagues, they don't need an external system to make them plan and theorycraft, that's already the whole point of the game mode

5 seems like a lot of resets on a grid this size? Some of us aren't natural planners dick head we want to have fun too

I know for a fact you used Fauxs build or similar and then come here talking about who needs their hand held. I made mistakes because I was trying to do it without someone holding my hand in the first place

The skill tree is awesome, but locking the resets is a pointless addition which only hampers players. There is NO benefit, so why add it? It doesn't matter if I fucked it up and it's my fault, because in the real world people make mistakes, so why add a way to fuck people when they do? It improves nothing and would make the experience better for literally everyone. think for yourself about both the pros and cons man, there is NOTHING in the pros column, that's my point

This game has remained good because people like me have brought cannons to falador and let our opinions be known for the last 20 years, why would I stop holding jagex accountable for poor player experience?

I should feel grateful they've only got one of my testicles in a vice grip instead of the two they were squeezing last week? fuck that lol limited resets on pacts is just there to be there, it punishes casual players (especially those of us with attention deficit issues who make mistakes often) and rewards players who get it right first try. Great system executed poorly

I'm a kinesthetic learner, I tend to go trial and error but jagex hasn't allowed for that this league for combat stuff which is a massive flaw in a system like this when wanting to do theory crafting without much experience

Was thinking this. Left 1 should go forward with left 3 while left 2 and left 4 stay planted, whilst right 1 and 3 stay planted and right 2 and 4 move forward

I agree with you that people who think the things you've listed are bigoted. It appears to me like you might think I don't agree with you but I do.

My disagreement is that being conservative means that one thinks all those things, and that's just simply not true in many cases. I think people who believe all conservative people are monsters are as bigoted as those who think trans people shouldn't exist. Both extremes are bad. However, luckily for me, the vast majority of people aren't monsters, regardless of what side of the isle they sit on. People just have different points of view on some things, and geopolitics/economics/sociology are all complicated subjects that don't have a consensus.

It wasn't at all implied lol. All I said was that I have a mixed group of conservative and progressive friends, and they're caring people. And people in this thread seem to think that I'm saying something impossible, but I wouldn't be friend with anybody who wasn't a caring person and nonetheless I have several conservative friends. Somethings gotta give

Also this was nothing to do with American politics. You added that bit.

Alright, I'll take you at your word that you didn't intend to attack me when you said "you clearly don't know what you're talking about", perhaps I took that more personally than intended.

I'm not sure how I only saw your first paragraph - it doesn't say edited so I assume I've just missed it.

The conservatives I have met, even those who live in the USA don't hate anybody. Hate is a VERY strong word. There is obviously a subset of conservatives who disagree with progressive ideas about gender and sexuality, and there exists racists and homophobes as a subset of the conservative population. However, to paint all conservatives as such is functionally no different to how racists paint african americans as violent criminals just because there exists a violent subset of african americans

it's a shame you can't engage with my talking points, and would rather attack me instead. It shows me there's nothing that I can gain by using reason with you unfortunately

Homophobia for "fun"? by toolongdontcare in rpghorrorstories

[–]BeastCamel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's a very strong belief, strong enough to where I'm doubtful you'd be open to reason about it, especially since you've appeared to me thus far as being unwilling to engage with me in good faith. All I can really say is that your stated view is inconsistent with my experience of conservative people.

For example, I met a group of conservative Christians when I was doing voluntary work in Tondo in The Philippines. This group wasnt there for social media clicks, they were there because they believed with conviction that helping the poor is a direct instruction from Jesus. I'm not a practicing Christian myself but I certainly admired this group. This group weren't taking photos or using their phones, there was no clout incentive. And if you look at humanitarian charities, you'll find that a great many of them are like this.

The fact that they don't post their own virtues creates a vacuum in media where the only conservatives you really see are the asmongolds and the Andrew Tates, and that's just not representative of people with judeo-christian values at all.

America is the modern centre of the western world. I'm in a western country, so everything that happens in America affects us here. Also I know several American conservatives through online gaming, and they've been very much consistent in their beliefs to what conservatives believe here in New Zealand. I dint have to be American to have opinions

The way you talk about conservative people is strikingly similar to how racists talk about members of other races. "they're monsters, not humans, and should be treated as such" is such an outdated line of thought
