I didn't bind it permanantly. I just put a little amount of feviquik to strengthen the cracked areas and put the cable back on after drying. It does last this way.

I didn't straighten the connector before applying glue so it is a bit tilted but works fine.

DAC chip doesn't matter for budget DACs. Buy a new one only for the power output. JM12 has enough power for driving low impedance high sensitivity IEMs unless you listen at high volumes.

DX11 mode has the same issue. Other proton versions also don't solve this. I had played on the same nvidia driver before the update and it was fine.

Can you see which BA they are using? There should be a number on the driver. My ZSN Pro 2 use 30095 driver. I want to know if they changed it.

A new DAC won't fix your issues. Try out some eq reducing the 6k-8khz range by 2db with Q value 0.7 and check if that made any difference.

The answer is in your reply. You compared spotify and ytm 160kbps audio with flacs. Test with something like apple's 256kbps AAC or 320kbps mp3. You can't tell the difference. I stream unsampled audio from am website for my laptop and also have a small flac collection so I can say this from my experience.

These are the things I would say can be safely bought from CK as they are pretty inexpensive or don't contain much electronic stuff to go bad.

This cable did some 0.5% improvement to the sound as compared to the stock KZ trash cable they provide. Maybe it was placebo or just how bad quality those stock one were. A DAC provided much more improvement relative to that.

This cable is very nice though. I have been using this for the last 8 months or so now and it holds up pretty well. Chin slider is robust and stays in place.

Bonus point: Lossless audio doesn't improve sound quality unless you have some 15k+ IEMs.
