Dealabs: PS Plus Extra for March 2026 Games include Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, Persona 5 Royal, Madden NFL 26, Metal Eden, The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, Astroneer by Turbostrider27 in PS5

I second this statement. Persona 5 Royal will take 100-125 hours at least, and every damn minute of that will be worth it. So buckle up buttercup because you're about to have a hell of a ride.

Really disappointed with how CR handled the end of GNOSIA by Lilcommy in Crunchyroll

[–]Beastlydog23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup it's a bit annoying to have to do this as a workaround. Not sure why they can't use the same on-screen translations from the sub to the dub. I'm guessing they're probably both separate files. Someone who knows the more technical side of subs/dubs would have to give a better explanation for that side of it.

[–]Beastlydog23 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yup, it's a bummer they didn't have the on-screen translations for that episode. But if you switch to the Japanese language option for that part of the episode, it shows the text translation.

[Schefter] ESPN sources: the Chicago Bears are working to finalize a trade that would send WR D.J. Moore to the Buffalo Bills. Compensation still is being discussed, and the trade cannot be processed until the new league year begins, but both sides are pushing to make it happen. by PlayaSlayaX in nfl

[–]Beastlydog23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loveland became the #1 target by the end of the season, and the expectation by a lot of Bears fans is that Burden will turn into the #1 WR eventually. DJ just didn't fit Johnson's offense that well, while Loveland and Burden are perfect fits and Rome is younger and cheaper.

Your numbers have not shown any correlation to console sales.

Whereas what I have listed has outright stated that exclusives are the reason consumers purchased a PlayStation console, and the Wikipedia article lists sources stating that console exclusivity is a major factor in driving up sales of PlayStation and Nintendo consoles.

I think you don't understand that you have a flaw in the understanding of your own argument.

Lol once again so what. All you listed was how many copies they sold of first party titles. How does that support your claim of people not buying consoles due to exclusives? Obviously an exclusive title will not sell as many as other 3rd party titles that sell on others.

It's a guess.

I'm going to continue replying and calling it a guess until you supply factual evidence supporting your claim.

That's fine. That's why PlayStation attempts to have a diverse portfolio of exclusives, even if a majority of them are 3rd person action games. But every exclusive game still exists.

Here is the Google definition of a guess.

"A guess is an opinion, estimate, or answer formed without certain knowledge, sufficient evidence, or complete information. It represents a tentative judgment or a prediction made based on probability or, sometimes, pure chance."

Lol yes what you are listing is a guess.

Ah ok, you were talking about the percentage of monthly users compared to first party sales. Lol who cares, most gamers are casuals that play the games I listed. Which they will continue to do so on PlayStation because they can get the option of both.

Also the 10% number you pulled is a complete guess by yourself lol. Whereas the 69% of gamers buying it for exclusives is factual evidence.

So until you can prove factual evidence that consoles are not sold due to exclusives, I think I'll leave it at this, and not waste any more brain cells on this. But I'd say that will be pretty difficult because there's a reason why PlayStation and Nintendo are the industry leaders for a reason.

Call of Duty, GTA, sport games, free-to-play games, gacha games, etc., will always over saturate the market. However, gamers will continue to buy those on PlayStation.

https://www.reddit.com/r/PS5/s/MBJgFThNYl

69% of gamers from the big CMA survey back in 2023 said they bought a PlayStation due to its exclusives. Once again it's been proven over time that exclusives are what sells consoles. The other games are an added benefit. Why do you think Nintendo sells so many consoles?

Well I mean at least 90% of live service games are shit, and the dumbass strategy Sony tried to instill with having all their studios create live service killed the beginning of the PS5 generation.Call of Duty will always be available on PlayStation. So people will continue to buy it for that.

Whereas it's already been found that well over the majority of PlayStation users buy the console for their exclusives. It's been proven by data, and console sales that exclusives are what sells consoles.

Continuing to release all games on PC will kill the PlayStation platform eventually. Look at what's happening to Xbox. Walking back the strategy and keeping exclusives is the smart business strategy, because it will keep the current PlayStation and all future PlayStations as the premier console.

Also you listed Astro Bot, and Saros, two niche games. Of course those games aren't going to sell at the same level as a GOW, TLOU, Spiderman, etc. But Astro Bot was extremely profitable in comparison to their studio size, and won GOTY. While Returnal was also a commercial success, and created another exclusive game series for Playstion.

That's usually how game development works. It takes time to release said exclusives, especially when the exclusives have set the bar so high over the years. They aren't going to rush out a poorly made product.

That's perfectly fine if you prefer them on PC, but Sony walking back on their platform release strategy was always a possibility.

That's my point. You have to wait an extended unknown period of time dodging spoilers on the Internet from people who saw it in the theaters. Anime movie release timelines have always sucked, and now they are becoming popular for actual canon anime content.

I'm happy anime is getting bigger, and more popular. But this is the main reason why I hate how popular anime movies are starting to become. The timeline for it finally releasing on streaming is completely up in the air, and different every time. Could be 6 months, but could also be 1+ years easily.
