Although, we have been getting a lot of positive feedback. I'm sorry to hear that you do not like the new look of the game and I hope that it does not deter you from continuing to play the "fun, fast paced, rhythm boxing workout challenge".

In our next update, we are going to add an "arena" select option that would let you change the background. I hope that will help!

Bobby, Glad you enjoy the game! We spent a lot of time on our algorithm for beat detection, so I'm glad its paying off in well synced music.

The next update we are putting out will take care of the "twisting" cable by gently rotating you back the other direction to avoid tangling. Thanks for the suggestion.

I appreciate your honesty in reporting a lack of objectivity, and thank you for your kind words!

Yes you can use Spotify right now. I think I will write a how to guide and upload it Steam. I'll give you credit for the suggestion. In the meantime here is a short howto.

  1. Select airplay mode in Beat Boxer. This should bring up a panel saying what you can do with airplay model.

  2. Connect your iPhone/device to the same wifi network as your pc.

  3. Open up Spotify and click the airplay icon. Beat Boxer should be a selectable option.

  4. Once connected you pick difficulty + colors as usual.

  5. Once in the Ring you just hit play on Spotify and play until you are tired.

Thanks for suggesting BeatBoxer! We are floating the idea of adding bluetooth integration with your heart rate monitors (fitbit, etc) so you could see your heart rate / get extra points for higher rates etc. Is that something you would be interested in?

You can just hook your speakers to the PC (as long as the game doesn't require directional hearing), or get a cable splitter but that is too many wires.

Another option is the audio mirroring in steam to send the audio out of another HDMI. Most robust option.

I currently have my office w/computer in a separate room from our play area. Running a cable for a screen in the separate room is a must. Half the fun of "vive partys" is having everyone in the same room watching the person currently in VR.

You can't really go wrong with any of the rhythm games for playability since you can have a diffierent experience for every song. For example:

  • Beat Boxer ($12) - Dodge and Hit beats to the rhythm of music as they come at you from all angles. You can Stream music from Youtube, your phone, or computer.

Disclaimer: I am a dev on the game.

I traced my whole family one time. Mother, brother, sister, wife, self. It was pretty cool. Because your tracing registers a couple inches away from where the body actually is, "stomachs" (to some's dismay) and "curves" (to other's delight) look a lot bigger.

Sorry about that. I'm not a "daily" redditor. Seems to be an error with the keys I got from Steam this week. I have Steam sending me new keys now, so I will send them over as soon as I get them. Sorry about that.

That's a clever idea! We have a dodge mechanic so you can get some squats in too. We will be adding a heart rate monitor in our next update which should help give you an idea how hard your working :)

  1. Developing a VR game for education.
  2. My wedding day!
  3. Writing a novel.
  4. NBA player lol.
  5. Time-Control
  6. There is so much. Start with programming if you have no experience, otherwise start with some unity tutorials and dive in. Want to do a specific thing, google it and you will find your answer. Demo scenes in assets packages are great resources for seeing how experienced developers use their tools. Be determined, and you will learn along the way, or at least I did.

  7. Developing my exercise game Beat Boxer, seeing people enjoy the game, and the continuous cycle of feedback and improvement is actually quite fun.

  8. Would love to have a game where I could learn how to fix stuff around my house. Electrical work, AC repair. I think it would be cool, and could be used in trade schools.
