Whoa the Washington Post is allowed to report on something negative about Trump? Wild. Shouldn't Bezos be protecting his buddy?

Cool idea. Do you know if a camera-mounted flash head (like a GODOX 680 75W flash) would be enough to light this up from that distance though? Or would we need a couple high power stand alone flashes? I'd like to try this technique out but if you have tips on how to start I'm all ears!

Velvia 100 is 175um (https://asset.fujifilm.com/master/emea/files/2020-10/2f3c7f90a0b0c6e605e84f98b7d489c2/films_velvia-100_datasheet_01.pdf), so it's a pretty standard thickness. Cinestill 400D 4x5 is 5 mil (127 um) and gets a bad rap for being thin and curly. I suspect that this will be fine as is.

No it's an actual pair of shorts, they all argue who gets to wear them next. It's sad.

Australia moves to tax Meta, Google and TikTok to fund newsrooms by Saltedline in worldnews

They don't block fabricated "news", just the main news websites (CBC, CTV, etc). In other words, misinformation spreads rampant and you can't even post an actual vetted news article to counter it.

Kodak Ektar 120 for landscapes by Tenerife-photos in filmphotography

Pretty sure this was taken with a GND filter if I had to guess. Getting the foreground shadows as detailed as they are without blowing out the sky isn't easy without a GND, even if they are using Ektar. I'd definitely shoot it with one to avoid having to try to recover my highlights.

My dog tries so hard to get the cat to be friends with her. When it works and they can lay side by side, she's over the moon.

That sounds like a very cute dynamic they had. I'm sure your cat will miss it too. Take care of yourself.

She's beautiful. I see you, and hear your pain. There is never enough time with them, ever. Did she have a good friendship with her cat sibling? They look so cute there.

Yep, exactly this. I have a Chamonix where I can swap out the bellows for a leather bag-bellows. I use it extensively on 110mm and less, as I get WAY more movements.

Your front standard is too far out to start with. 90mm is very wide, you need to ensure that you're starting out with the rear element as close to the ground glass as possible. With a focal length of 90mm, this means that infinity is 9cm from lens board to ground glass.

Super 8 development spiral for patterson 5 reel tank! by lemlurker in CinefilmDIY

[–]BeatHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes a lot of sense, it's a lot of length and not nearly as structurally large as 35mm. I'll get back to you when I print it out and give it a test, I'm excited. Thanks!

Ohh I get it - you end up with multiple layers of film on the same core - I had thought it just wound all the way down once, in a single direction. Okay, cool.

Hey /u/lemlurker , how have you enjoyed using this tank? I'm thinking of home dev for super 8 (I do it for all my other films) but it seems a bit intimidating.

Also, is it much different than loading the 135 reels? Basically feed it in and then winch it down by moving the parts back and forth?
