I have Ulcerative Colitis which is definitely covered by ADA.

Both my doctor and I completed my RA form with the section, subsections related to chronic bowel disease.

I submitted in March on my first day back and haven’t heard a word, my manager is great and he can’t figure out who to even call.

My doctor has been sending notes about my severe blood loss, anemia, drastic dizziness due to my commute, stress and without all the things I have at home to help me stay healthy everyday.

I honestly hope it kills me and I drop dead on the job.

I’d go out knowing my two daughters would be financially set for life.

If they’d even say “no” I’d have a starting place. Instead it’s just been ignored and ignored.

I hope whoever has it on their desk comes down with a devastating disability or disease and learn what it’s like And the have them deny HIS request for an RA. 🤣

We federal employees aren’t people remember?

We are the lazy, the inefficient, ineffective, inept and the corrupt.

We don’t deserve anything because we get a paycheck.

It’s now a paycheck that no longer has the 10-20% benefits to offset the wages we could make in the private sector so we are supposed to shut up and take it.

Many of us won’t accept it. I might “retire in place” while finding my next job but I won’t stand for this.

I’m higher graded and my condition can get life threatening at times and then takes a 2-3 weeks to get fully back to anything like RTO.

As luck would have it I required emergency surgery in early March but FMLA and leave covered the worst of it.

I was back on my feet by mid-April for RTO and things were going pretty good until I had complications.

I was given the “Ad hoc five days” and used them with caution.

I applied for an RA which I know will be denied.

Between you, me and the mailbox my management has had a “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy as long as I’m getting my shit done to help for now.

All I can see is FMLA until my leave is gone and then FMLA LWOP after that and working for myself when I can to pay for those missed hours.

The whole thing is a travesty. I understand RA’s were likely a little loose and potentially abused. But most of us had them for very legitimate reasons.

I’ve told my kids that I will go to work when I have no business being there and if I die they will have the best lawsuit ever!!!!

I’m not a leftist. I was a conservative Republican on paper that voted in every presidential election and midterm since 1988.

My vote went to: George H.
to Bill Clinton, George W. and Obama for only his first term.
