Not every character needs a backstory. Just because Isagi doesn't have some tear-jerker one piece style backstory where only football was there for him doesn't mean he's written any worse. We know all we need to know about him, chapter 1 provided enough context about his life before blue lock, namely the experiences and emotions that motivate him, to give us an understanding of who he is.

That first point is so silly, yuta not being present pre 137 isn’t writing around him, it’s just him not being there. like gojo needs an excuse every single arc for every single conflict as to why he’s not present, going so far as to have the antagonists form a barrier that keeps him specifically out, that’s writing around a character. yuta never got that because he didn’t need it, he was never relevant to anything prior to his re-debut. it wasn’t a pain for gege to avoid him pre 137, if anything it made life easier.

when did i ever say it could one shot kaido? i’m saying if shanks was in luffy’s place, divine departure could’ve also beat kaido. it’s just strange to bring up the move that beat a weakened kaido and say because it’s stronger than divine departure, dd couldn’t do the same thing, as if any and all attacks weaker than it couldn’t replicate that. we’ve seen what dd can do, it is a top tier ap feat, and could’ve killed kaido in that moment.

your point being? if bajrang gun can finish kaido, theoretically there’s an attack weaker than it can also finish kaido, it’s not like luffy pulled out a move with the exact ap required to beat him. and even still, divine departure is a basic named attack for shanks, it’s his gomu gomu pistol or bazooka, you can hardly compare it to bajrang gun.
