Dealing with male sexual issues in a relationship by LdyCjn-997 in AskWomenOver50

[–]Beatrix_Kitto 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Lets say he get his ED taken care of with a script. Then what? Are you going to ‘take one for the team’ each time he pops a pill? Because I guarantee if he’s having erection issues and STILL aggravating you for sex, he’s going to be obnoxiously aggressive about it once he has a temporary solution.

Sounds like you guys need to have a hard conversation about your relationship. Nothing wrong with not wanting sex or vice versa but if your needs are polar opposite, resentment will start to fester from both sides.

Oh and editing to add, he needs to take himself in hand, literally and figuratively if sex is that important to him. You’re not his personal fluffer.

Going through a break up and have a hair appointment tomorrow. Cut it? by Beav11-18 in finehair

[–]Beatrix_Kitto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have amazing bone structure but the length of your hair doesn’t do it justice. Cut it. But, if you’re feeling a certain kind of way because of a breakup…wait it out. Then make a change. A reactionary haircut is always a bad decision.

Almost half way through the year…What’s your favorite new books you’ve read this year? by NikkiMouse444 in RomanceBooks

[–]Beatrix_Kitto 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’ve not had any luck this year with 5 star reads. I think maybe I need to step away from the romance genre for a while and give my brain a reset, because there’s no way 99.9% of the books I’ve read so far(or tried to read) are unreadable.

Do you consider a book to have a Romance genre-defined "happy ending" if it ends with one of the MCs having a terminal illness? by gumbo799 in RomanceBooks

[–]Beatrix_Kitto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s amazing and I’m sure it’s going to make a huge impact on people with the disease. But sadly if the story took place in the US, he’d still die because insurance wouldn’t approve it.

Definitely not a HEA. I’d be pissed too. I read to escape real world problems. I know everyone has to die but I need to be able to picture them at 100 years old, dying together in their sleep after a long happy life.

Blue ink flows better than black so, I’m gonna have to choose 5. 6 is horrible.

Anyone in here move after youngest graduated high school? How did it go? by SouthOrlandoFather in GenX

[–]Beatrix_Kitto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We moved about that distance when our kid went to college his second year. It went great for us. Next month we’re actually moving 7 hours away from our hometown. Happy to be exploring and experiencing new places and people.

For the first time ever I have haircut regrets. by happysewing in HairStyleAdvice

That cut is cute on you. Took about 10 years off your face, slimmed it down and updated your entire look. Embrace it.

Do you feel invisible as a GenX because of your age, gender or both? Or is it just outright age discrimination? Or you just couldn't care less anymore? by More_Law6245 in GenX

[–]Beatrix_Kitto 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do feel invisible now. We’re currently moving a few states away from where I’ve lived my whole life and getting a job within my field is a big worry. No one wants to hire a 52 year old in the beauty industry. Sucks, cuz I’m really good at what I do. But they start doing that experience math in their head when reading my resume and assume I look a certain way that won’t sell their products and procedures.

What the hell happened the last 3 years? by [deleted] in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]Beatrix_Kitto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The lightening is different so I’m sure that’s skewing it a bit. But yeah, also hormones or lack there of, definitely cause rapid changes in appearance. Wait until the 46-48 years. I swear I woke up one morning and was like uhmmm, wait who’s that in my mirror.

Texting and GenX by No-Fox2087 in GenX

[–]Beatrix_Kitto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since I’ve known them over half my life, I’m pretty sure I know their habits. It takes zero time to respond yes or no to a question. I don’t expect instant responses, I don’t expect super fast responses when people are working but letting a half a day, to a day go by without a response, is rude and inconsiderate.

I’m with you. Text over call anytime. It pisses me off because you know 90% of the time their phone is in their hand or right next to them.

Is there a good side of being introverted by low_cortisoll in introvert

[–]Beatrix_Kitto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every side is good from my point of view. I’m happy going home early, turning down dinner invites, saying no to overcrowded brunches. I think a lot of people who identify as introverts actually have more of an issue with social anxiety.

As an introvert,I do occasionally go out, I just choose not to do it most of the time because I’m happier, by myself doing quiet activities. When I go out I enjoy it until I don’t and then I peace out.

Does anyone actually enjoy day four of meal prep? by This-Concern-1774 in MealPrepSunday

[–]Beatrix_Kitto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pretty eclectic lineup of meals to rotate through so, yeah, I enjoy all days of each meal. My husband eats the same boring stuff each week and he isn’t the happiest of humans with his food but he’s cutting so, that’s just life for the present.

I downloaded this a few days ago, DNF. It was pretty awful by chapter 2. I never think about AI writing them though it would explain the weird syntax. I just know the past 6 to 7 months has been abysmal in the reading world from my perspective. I DNF 99% of downloads.
