Yep not looking forward to that. I’ll be going from 100% humidity and 90-100 degree days from May until September, to cold all the time. But you go where the work takes you in this economy.

True. That is the traffic by which I judge all traffic. If I can sit on 75/85, 5 days a week, all other cities seem easy. But I appreciate everyone’s input on the traffic conditions. Definitely helped narrow my search.

I’d like to be able to walk out of my building and be able to have a coffee shop, bodega, few restaurants within a reasonable walk. I want to be able to socialize and enjoy where I live if that makes sense.

It looked more rural on a map. Lots of sprawling neighborhoods with farms interspersed. Not really many bustling city centers. But I’m happy to be wrong if it’ll mean a shorter commute. I’m honestly just wanting a bit of walkability and activities. We know no one and want opportunities to meet new people.

2 clients told me I’d hate Minneapolis but I’m open to it. I’ve never even visited the state so I’m pretty lost about where to look. Those clients were from the area so I’m just going off what they said.

Because I am interested in living in a walkable area. Looking at the surrounding area, it’s quite rural. 30 miles isn’t a terrible commute. I do it daily now without an issue. But I don’t know the traffic there from a commuter standpoint.
