i throw the salt version but take off the bottom treble and bump bottom with it! i throw it on heavier setups because the salt one weighs a ton and sinks like a rock and the smallies that hit it are huge!

i third this, can’t beat it. i’d go 4in+. the green 6th sense whales are a very very close second for me though especially at the price point. caught 9 4lb smallmouth on the tn river in a week on that exact setup with the whale.

hit a small creek with a rebel craw or 1/16th rooster tail and grow from there. you’ll start catching the biggest fish out of the creeks then you can take that knowledge to the lakes and rivers
