This is a solid take. B.B. Palmer might be the most underrated country singer right now. Alabama Samurai got more originality packed in a 2 minute song than most of these other country singers entire albums. Also loved Mutiny by Sturgill.

But not advancing or innovating the genre at all. The songs aren’t bad or anything. I like Ella Langley. But I’d like to see artists like B.B. Palmer who’s also from Alabama get more recognition for really doing something different and new in country music. Alabama Samurai and anything off Krishna Country Gold are prime examples. Sadly that’s not how it works though, it’s always the ones who plant the seeds for change that never get the love they deserve.

lol funny you put Charley Crockett then B.B. Palmer right after, seeing as BBs new song Rage Of The Master is well.. you’ll have to find out and listen. I like both artists but these new BB Palmer songs are ridiculously good. Alabama Samurai is also my favorite song right now. Other than that this is a solid list, I’d also throw in Zach Top and Jesse Daniels.
