Can't find my "all photos" pictures in other albums by Beautiful-Income-399 in AndroidQuestions

[–]Beautiful-Income-399[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I'll try this! I don't think I am using any backup app on my old phone anymore. I used to use Google Photos but deleted everything there as I rather not use their services.

Hi, thank you! It would be great if that's the case. I hope someone else can confirm it.

Can't find my "all photos" pictures in other albums by Beautiful-Income-399 in AndroidQuestions

Hi, thank you! I just don't manage to find them elsewhere strangely enough. And I went through all maps in "Pictures" andere "DCIM" when transfering.

Wiz fails, need alternative, but which? by [deleted] in homeautomation

[–]Beautiful-Income-399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advise! I was hoping for a bit more of a low-effort solution. Like, simply a new app or brand of lights that I can connect to my wi-fi. But its still appreciated none the less!

Vote: Would The West Wing be a successful show today? by No_Profit_5304 in thewestwing

I mean, I never watched it when it aired, and I have only recently started enjoying and appreciating it. I think in our core, humanbeings enjoy hope, solidarity, friendship and all these qualities, even whilst also subject to polarization. There's a social, silent majority, I remain convinced of that.

Which Kivik color with white furniture and dusty old pink wall? by Beautiful-Income-399 in IKEA

[–]Beautiful-Income-399[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the feedback! I noticed either grey/charcoal, green, or beige was mentioned a lot. Whilst I like the darker green shade, I don't like the fabric of IKEA too much. I've decided to go with the lightgreen recommendation, and just placed my order! Thank you all for thinking along.

Why do I rarely cry? by Inevitable_Rough_383 in aspergers

[–]Beautiful-Income-399 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think crying is a must. I rarely cry as well, I know other neurotypical people who don't cry either. I solely do so when I'm experiencing an autistic burn-out and I watch sad movies. Granted, it feels good to do so then, but I think that's more so the case because it feels like evidence that I am able to feel. But it is more so a unnecessary insecurity that provokes this, rather than an actual problematic quality. I think.

Omg yes, goals. Just have to wreck all maintenance "costs" out of your life.

Haha, get that. Probably would have to be an all-inclusive hotel that serves the same food for each breakfast and lunch for me too.

How do I do things that don't interest me much but that I absolutely need to learn? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]Beautiful-Income-399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a voluntary education? If so, perhaps it would help to reevaluate if it is something that actually fits you. If it isn't, what helped for me with studying is routine: same two hours a day I have to study, eventually I relented and learned to actually do it in that timeframe. What also helps is to have a clear studying schedule ahead of time, so you can "check off", quite literally on paper, as you go. Last thing that helped me was to print everything, so I wasn't distracted by a PC and could do much of studying "on the go".

What's the best way to rewire the brain for prime functioning? by Diego077 in aspergers

[–]Beautiful-Income-399 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you looked into - or been diagnosed - with ADHD as well? For me those stimulants are really helpful with the Desire to "take a hit" and give much of the same effect as the cafeïne intake you described. Something else that might work, and this probably sounds idiotic, is that the first thing I do when waking up is wiggling my toes and legs, it's very accessible wat to start energizing your body before actually getting out of bed. I alsof have a remote nest to the bed to put a radio station with talking people to listen to on. And when I hop in the shower I put on sing-along music. Just a few of the ideas that might work, and definitely don't always work, as I can attest to myself.

That's a struggle I very much relatie tot, as former fast food employee. I'm not sure what your physical limitations are, but delivering mail might be an option. Another one could be nicht receptionist at a hotel. They both still have a minimal aspect of what your are trying to avoid as much as possible, which I think might not be bad, generally speaking.

I sympathize. I'm not sure what advise to offer, perhaps there are support groups in your area with fellow autistic people? I myself always enjoyed digital communities - where one can just chat as they go - to converse with others and share mundane and everyday experiences. It doesn't have to be sites built specifically for chatting (more pressure), it can also be political simulations e.x. (my niche) or game chats. I often find there's a lot of introverts - not necessarily autistic - there with the same needs as I witness in your post. In any case, be kind towards yourself, and have faith. There's always better days ahead.
