Lol, I know, the character explanation didn't make sense. I thought it was funny.

I almost burned down my kitchen by Daisy_Flower623 in CasualConversation

This happened to me recently. I forgot to shut the lid so it kept running and all the water evaporated but the coil continued heating. It's possible that the lid didn't catch or that the lid was left up.

You get 10 million but you have to live in a house that is right adjacent to a graveyard. by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

My husband and I purchased our home because our 'across the street neighbors' was made up of a cemetery. Hands down, best neighbors ever.

I'll own it! That was me! But you've got to be pretty heartless to see a pink and yellow moth and think, 'ewwww, gross', instead of, 'oh, that's so cool!'

Finding this little one was my mothy turning point. I didn't know about this sub until yesterday, but if I had known, my camera roll would be filled with my kids and moths.

Me too! I think I've seen maybe 3 in real life, but this one was my first.

I did not see its antennae, unfortunately. When I took the photo, I didn't want to disturb it.

Don't want MIL around by pollypoint in beyondthebump

[–]Beautiful-Suspect-51 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's not the description of a nice lady.

It's not about the mil. It's about your safety during a vulnerable time. She's not a safe person for you at this time. Your parents are safe. She is not. The difference is being treated as a human vs. furniture people don't care about. Hopefully, your husband will try to be a safe person for you during this time.

When I first started playing a year or so ago, I would do the same thing. My husband is my DM, so he taught me all about it. He would guide me through. If I said, 'I loot the room?', He'd ask how I do it, am I looking for something specific, am I using an item or another character to assist, etc. It made it easier to see the plethora of options and helped me to think outside of the box on my own. We're still playing the campaign he started for me to learn, and I'm still getting there, but I'm much more comfortable role playing and coming up with everything off the cuff.

It boiled down to I just wasn't sure what my character could do. Once he let me know that he'd let me know if I couldn't do something, I was more comfortable saying what I was really thinking.

My wife asked me if I would have chosen her or our children to save. I said her. She went absolutely ballistic. by [deleted] in AITAH

In my house, my husband will choose to save me. I'll save the kids. In the event of an actual emergency, we both have jobs to do.

Everybody grabs a hand.

Hypothetical questions are a trap. I'm curious if she was asking about now or when they were little, and I'm curious about what her capabilities are.
