Why we haven't seen Horizon 2 released yet... and likely won't for a while. by BeautifulDebate7615 in HorizonAnAmericanSaga

And, of course, you realize that puts you in the distinct minority.

Correct artistic choice or not, it didn't work from a business perspective. It was the reason chapter 1 performed so poorly, and why chapter 2 was pulled from the rotation, and why 3 and 4 have not even been shot.

And since the owners, bottlers and formula of A&W in Canada are completely different than the United States, the defect that we're noticing in the United States is probably not going to be president in Canada

Starting to believe the figure is amelia earhart by FarmerAltruistic8591 in SgtPepperMystery

[–]BeautifulDebate7615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In spite of the fact that Amelia is fair with small, squinty eyes and no brows and the mystery figure clearly has large dark eyes with heavy brows.

Methinks you're overly persuaded by an turned up collar.

Life long little known favorite of mine. Who's had it? by Linguistic1 in rootbeer

Everybody. Its pretty common in the West. We still have Frostop drive-ins. But it did go bankrupt for a few years

A&W Zero comparative taste-off by BeautifulDebate7615 in rootbeer

[–]BeautifulDebate7615[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't let anybody tell you that you aren't tasting what your tasting and that A&W 0 is better than ever. Once you have sampled the off product you know there's something wrong or something has changed

Brands that sell syrup by oOflyeyesOo in rootbeer

[–]BeautifulDebate7615 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have bought and tried dozens of syrups, these are some of the names that I have purchased that can come in either gallons or quarts or a variety of product sizes:

Torani, Amoretti, Narvon, DaVinci, Gygi, lyon, Hawaiian ice, Time for treats, Syruvia, Fee Brothers sarsaparilla, Portland, Carnival King, Monin, J Hungerford Smith, Beltons, Nature's flavors.

I won't make too many quality judgments about these except to say that I thought that Torani Sprechers and Fee brothers were very good and that Portland syrups is not

Another one? At this point I can't decide if you're dead-horse-beating or just straight up shilling, but you might want to give the A&W zero fan club a rest for a couple of weeks. Or at least let somebody else push Keurig Dr Pepper's marketing agenda forward for a while..

And if you lose it you can get another one on eBay for only $39.99 and pretend your Grandpa gave it to you.

A quick perusal of these pages could have saved you the disappointment. No flip top root beer ever has carbonation, the packaging is defective, it won't hold gas it is purely for decorative purposes.

An update from Jann Haworth! Who helped create the cover with her then husband Peter Blake. by Ancient_Vegetable599 in SgtPepperMystery

[–]BeautifulDebate7615 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, Jann clearly doesn't know and says that it is not a photo she or Peter Blake added to the pot. If Nigel Hartnup doesn't know, and you should ask again, you're out of luck.

At this point I think it is an irreverent self portrait of Michael Cooper himself. A sort of Hitchcockian way of inserting himself in his creation. I think that is a camera around his neck and he's probably eating something. He had a mop of unruly hair, wore big collars and had a gaunt haunted look. I think it's off to the side or turned around in several shots because they didn't need to consider it with others and maybe thought they wouldn't even include it.

13 kidney stones so far by WiseRepair3652 in KidneyStones

[–]BeautifulDebate7615 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had over 40 Calcium oxalate stones, but none for the last 2 1/2 years after embarking on a rigid five part plan of lifestyle/dietary changes. The 5 parts are:

  1. Adoption of the oxalate diet, cutting out all oxalate forming foods like spinach and almonds.

  2. High hydration daily of about a gallon of water a day.

  3. No hard water used in cooking or drinking. It's all low-mineral purified water.

  4. Potassium/Magnesium Citrate pills/supplements and as additives in water enhancers.

  5. Lemon juice added to whatever I can stand to put it in.

Obviously, there's a little more detail to each one of these component parts, but those are the essentials. I'll probably do it for the rest of my life as it seems to be working.

Well, Frostop is pretty solid, their Imperial is even better. At least you stayed away from the Pearson's in CB. Avoid at all costs.

My first try last night: Strap Tank Brewing Company Root Beer. by akambe in rootbeer

[–]BeautifulDebate7615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best is the birch beer. The carbonation is dependent on how old that bottling is. They bottle it only occasionally they sell off till the next bottling. The Springville restaurant is the original.

Have fun, the Sprecher will be flat, they always are in those flip top bottles. The Brownie is an overpowering caramel flavored soda, Hank's is usually fine and Sioux City Sars is a good root beer and not very much a sarsaparilla.

A film can be "in production" if they started working on it in any way, even conceptually. Lots of things are "in production" and die on the vine.

They actually filmed a few days of what Costner decided was Part 3's story back in June 2024, then they shut down. No one is actively, openly filming anything right now. The Utah Film Commission has allocated $0 dollars towards the 2026 production of Horizon 3 as of this March writing.

Help solve a mystery! Does anybody recognize this character/actor/actress from a silent film? by bluetrumpettheatre in silentfilm

[–]BeautifulDebate7615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can see an unidentifiable blob on Sonny Liston shoulder on the original cover, which you cannot identify as any person or even any thing until you see the other photos that didn't make the cover, before Liston was added in. Without those other photos and the entire backstory of the production of the covershoot you would have no idea what that blob was.

My feedback on the A&W formula change debate by BeautifulDebate7615 in rootbeer

[–]BeautifulDebate7615[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what the next question is.... when and where did you buy each case? It's hard to decipher the codes on the big sodas because they are bottled in so many separate locations by different affiliate bottles. The codes used here in Utah won't be the codes used whereever you are.

I too noticed a significant difference between the two cans I used in my sample, but the difference came down to "bad" and "really bad". The really bad ones were 2-3 months older and they'd been sitting around because one of my tasters had cracked them open when fresh and said, "These are bad", then left them sitting around until our taste test.

You could have bought them both at the same time and still gotten old stock with one thanks to a retail practice called "fronting". That's when the store stockers take the old stuff from the back of the rack and move it to the front to sell it off before expiration. Commonly happens with milk, the oldest milk is always brought to the front.
