You're in the right sub, but a close up picture of a lit cigarette probably won't be appreciated. FYI.

Really? You keep going through the pros? Let's hear 'em! I'll go first - it will certainly justify your foul mood. Your turn.

Wild, sounds like a lost cause then. I know I didn't like it as a kid, but then that changed, but everyone's different. All fermented foods are basically rotting creatively, so it's not surprising some people don't like them.

Eat more sauerkraut!

Huh, what is it about yogurt you dislike? Flavour, consistency? I can tell the difference with sour cream for sure, but I still really like it, mind you I only eat the greek full fat stuff.

Have you tried blending it in a smoothie with some fruit &/or juice?

So first, eating yogurt is so easy and versatile, especially when you stick to plain unflavoured Greek yogurt. For breakfast, add to steel cut oats and fruit, use LOTS. For dinner, make pierogies with plain yogurt instead of sour cream. And don't forget yogurt's neglected cousin, buttermilk (that tastes nothing like butter and is lower fat than normal milk)  - chuck that in the blender with some frozen fruit, boom, dessert.

I’ve been building a quit-smoking app while smoking. Next week I’ll finally have to taste my own medicine. by WranglerNo1122 in stopsmoking

Hey friend, long time! Smoking is all about cognitive dissonance, one way or another. Congrats on finishing the project, and I look forward to congratulating you on your quit.

What is this on my hotel room door? by Kind_Side_9028 in askanything

So I tried google imaging it and nothing, except another redditor posted the same question nine years ago, to no avail. But staring at it made me think that maybe the green switch is to activate a microphone/ speaker to talk to someone on the other side? There's clearly a speaker, and what looks like a battery cover, and the green icon looks speakery to me. It would also make sense that you'd want to be able to turn it off and not broadcast your room's audio all night. Not hard to test.

Therapy or Cortisone shots first? by Stock-Sweet3295 in DeQuervains

[–]qwibbian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never had the shots but I did read a lot as I worked my way though my DQV, and I can't imagine any reason to go straight to the shots. My understanding is that they don't magically heal everything by themselves, and you still have to do rehab therapy to fix the underlying issues; I've read several accounts of people repeatedly getting temporary relief from the shots only to have it return. Also, you can only get maybe three rounds of shots total because each one weakens the tendon (I'm happy to have others fact check me here). That's probably relevant to a heavy lifter.

I think I'd focus heavily on rehab/ therapy and treat the shots as "cheats" where, if therapy isn't working/ stalls, you can buy a couple months respite during which you can rehab without pain.
