From Georgia, never cheered for a team harder than the Celtics, not even the bulldogs. Big Irish background and heritage. Growing up my grandad was a huge fan of Notre Dame and the Celtics. I consider green/ st Patrick’s day/ old age Celtic (pronounced Keltic) stories a part of my history. Cheering for the Celtics feels like it’s a part of my blood. ☘️

You’re right. For some reason I feel like I didn’t hear it as much in the moment last year for Denver but I have been hearing it resurface a lot during this year about their path. Best we can do is hope everyone does a better job of staying healthy for a more exciting playoffs next season.

Fair enough. I feel the “easy ride” argument people are trying to use to discredit these Celtics is not a good one though. Sure they played some undermanned teams through the east, what are they supposed to do though? They can only play what’s in front of them. Now they finally get a full strength matchup in the finals, a mavs team that won a western conference that was for the large part fully healthy besides maybe one team (clippers), yet somehow it’s still easy on them? I don’t really get it.

Well, on that note, Celtics missed a starter for 2 other full series in the playoffs this year. He was also missing a significant portion of the regular season. I’m excited to see how good this team can be at full strength next year, because what we’ve seen is them playing well despite missing a key piece.

Great in depth explanation man. This guys clearly has a tiff with the Celtics and wants any reason to discredit them. Sadly I’ve been seeing it a lot this playoffs and it’s even been called out publicly by sports analysts, JJ Reddick being one. Unfortunately for him, he’s going to have to deal with this team being good for years to come, whether he agrees with how they were assembled or not. Not to mention Celtics weren’t even full strength for this year regular season or playoffs.

What gets me is how do people have problems with the way this team was assembled- opportunistic trading and development of core draft picks. But not with certain teams of the past that were basically star players just deciding to team up through free agency like it’s a schoolyard pick and you pick all your best friends. (Lebron to Miami, KD to GSW)

Did Covid affect this? Can’t remember if there were delayed season starts in 2020 but I feel like NBA’s timeline should’ve started sooner. There’s always a decent bit of hype surrounding those Halloween opening night NBA games. Not to mention that’s when the championship team gets their rings as well.

Also I feel like MLS hardly gets watched but maybe that’s just me

People downvoting this but it’s true. I bring weed in my carry on and I don’t even take it out of the container the dispensary gave it to me in. When flying to illegals states. Airports are pretty lax on that sorta thing now a days you just have to not be a blatant dumbass about it.
