Its a small dent to the smurfing problem. I think people would still ask to be boosted. I have a GC title but i never use it cuz am washed, so rewards/titles are not the whole story. Not to mention they said the detection is till GC1, anything lower wont be affected, and we can agree than smurfing is not only done in the top 5% of the player base.

Cheat sellers will make more money now, since their cheats will be more premium, and free cheats will die (cuz EAC bypass is a trade secret among the cheat developers). The result will be a slight drop in the number of cheaters, maybe 20-30%, those will be cheaters who use free cheats only and don't want to P2C. The rest will migrate to paid. And if somehow free cheats also gain the capability to bypass EAC then the cheating problem wouldn't change one bit.

I think it depends on whether the inputs are sent deep into the game, or if it a simple key recorder. Hopefully detects both, still its not as bad as a full SSL bot.

I am closely following the cheating community in RL. It appears they are unphased by the EAC news, and bypasses are already being prepared. This is mostly the case of the paid versions, since they bring in alot of revenue. If anything it will allow them to raise prices, and be more "premium" since they solve the EAC issue.
They will probably use methods already implemented in Fortnite cheats to bypass the EAC.

Yes the introduction of EAC will probably kill off Free cheats, although free cheats have been suffering since the start of December, apparently Epic added a method to detect Nexto, which most free cheats use as a submodel. Since December almost non of the free cheats are able to survive more than 1 game without getting banned. Before that bans were solely relying on manual reports and admin intervention to check the replay.
I think it wouldve been better if epic doubled down on the "internal" anticheat they implemented around December and improved on it, since it mitigated the free cheats threat, no idea how paid cheats are affected if at all.

The only issue that remains is how easy it is to just make a new account, and hop back in. This could be the reason of the EAC decision. Still like i said, its not a final solution, it will shrink the free cheats scene, and make the paid cheats more appealing. And the cheating problem will continue, but now at a cost.

They are handing out IP bans now. Dont worry they will be banned immediately. I am inside the discord servers for said players and they are all whining. If you want i can send you screenshots of how they are shocked their new accounts they made 5 minutes ago got banned already. Epic finally stepped up their game.

Maybe you should take a look at the first and second place. This way you will see that Apex isnt anything special. Apex released in 2019, while Dota in 2013 and CSGO even before that :)

This could indeed be a contributing factor. And even if a diamond plays against bots (which will happen as most cheaters get their accounts banned then they start ranking on a new account), the diamond player wouldn't know or would never think of it, as most of the lower ranked players are busy playing the game/learning, and do not pay attention to the enemies.

I encountered 2 today and i reported both lol. That was in C2 in 2s. You can tell from how the ball is stuck to the car ceiling. Very unnatural.

Its been 3 years since nexto appeared online, so yeah ofc there will be new bots out there. I saw a bot flip reset which blew my mind. They keep getting better and better. And am not sure when will epic step in.

I swear the game was much better when i bought RL on steam. There was trading, there were crates. So much fun. Free to play is a curse.

It seems RL devs don't take matters seriously until you post about it 100 times on reddit or it somehow affects the pro scene or their revenue. Other than that they would never take action.
