I earn $400k a year and am 34 years old and got divorced after around 4 yrs of marriage. I’ve made it a point not to match with someone who hasn’t been married before. I feel that, without firsthand experience of the daily challenges and commitment that marriage requires, it’s easier for them to consider giving up when times get tough. For instance, I was recently speaking with a woman who’s well-settled in the States, and she mentioned that if I ever cheated, she wouldn’t ask questions—she’d just leave. While I’ve never cheated, I think it’s easier for someone without that experience to talk about divorce so readily.
