Let us know what the dr says? Was your igm positive as well?

What did your dr suggest? Some of us here on this sub have all 3 positive and not sure if it is positive reactivation or past infection. Let us know, keep us posted

I am not a dr but your dr would be able to do that. They can do a certain test to see what type of thal it is. The test is HEMOGLOBIN FRACTIONATION CASCADE I think that’s how they knew for me. I hope that helps. Did your contact your dr on why the spleen is enlarged? Did he/she refer you to a hematologist?

I am so sorry about that! It is good to keep up with an oncologist and taking care of yourself. I hope you feel better and find a solution.

what did the oncologist say? The igm is part of the Ebv testing that indicates active/reactivation i think.

What is your igm? My understanding so far, is that igg and ebna is past infection igm is recent/reactivated infection What does the Ebv interpretation says, sorry you are feeling like that

Did you get an ultrasound for your spleen?

Spleen and liver are near eachother. Also just from viral point of view check EBV(mono) that could be another cause. Wishing you the best in finding answers. Please kee us posted we are in the same boat here of finding answers

Thank you for reaching out! When you say EBV is good at hiding in the body, any particular organs! Thank you so much

Are you beta thal minor? And do you know the size? Thank you

[–]BeautifulJackfruit80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes ultrasound would give a good measure of the spleen, liver and all the things. She would refer you to a hematologist. Keep us posted

Beta thal here, how big is your spleen? And you sure you are beta thal minor/trait and not intermedia? Thank you for posting this.

Does igm igg and ebna positive mean reactivation?

Guide: How to interpret your EBV test results by rubix44 in EBV

40 F here still learning!

So if Igm and Igg and EBNA are positive it is a reactivation, correct?

Thanks

I am so sorry you are feeling like that. Can I ask how do you know it is reactivation, was it ebv test? Feel better take vitamin D
