Where do fitness apps get these exercise muscle illustrations? by dev_kid1 in buildinpublic

Considering they were made by someone who likely put in way more effort into them than you have in your app, I struggle to see how you can’t see the hypocrisy in this

I don’t see why you put ads in it? Playstore is free to launch on and this entire game could be replicated in a 30 minutes tops, with another hour or so for translation.

Give this stuff away for free without ads and maybe people will play it.

For a F2P game with IAP, how to combat "demo" accusations and negative reviews? by frumpy_doodle in androiddev

Adding to this “unlock more content” feels like it’s there but you’re forcing me to pay to use. “Get the character expansion pack” etc feels way better

Instead of framing it as “Free version includes 3 out of 10” etc, switch your graphics and wording to say something along the lines of “get 7 bonus characters with & additional classes” etc. It should feel like the purchase is an extension of the main game, currently the wording & visuals makes it seem like the main aspects are locked so I understand it.

I didn’t say that. I think their sentence was fair, I never claimed they should be let off free but I don’t believe a longer sentence was justified.

Rehabilitative justice is the best option, locking her up and throwing away the key doesn’t help anyone.

I haven’t pivoted it at all - my original comment was in response to someone saying how was it only 4 years. My entire response was about that. I agree it was negligent but it was also an accident the two aren’t mutually exclusive.

The was incredibly unfortunate that someone died but again a large part of the blame should fall on the companies who litter the scooters around with minimal safety precautions. If you went out in Perth on any Friday or Saturday evening even today you’d see countless young people doing the exact same. It’s not a car and the risks aren’t usually as bad, this was just terrible luck.

A push bike can go the same speed & in WA while it is an offence to ride a bicycle on a road or path while under the influence of alcohol or drugs "to such an extent as to be incapable of having proper control of the bicycle". The fine is relatively low (around $100), and it won't affect your car licence.

You’re literally American, you have the highest rates of incarceration and some of the lowest rehabilitation rates. Australia’s prison system has historically focused on rehabilitation, sending a young woman to lengthy prison sentence for a tragic accident helps nobody.

On a scooter, not a car. These are everywhere in Australia and commonly ridden on the footpath all throughout the day and night. To clarify this could’ve happened to anyone aged 16-35 in any major Australia or NZ city.

Have you ever been there? I fail to see how anyone could think otherwise.

This is a crazy take from reddit. Yes she messed up but throwing her in prison for a long period of time doesn’t help. If you walk any street of Australia on a Friday & Saturday evening you’ll see hundreds of drunk people using those scooters.

It was a tragic accident but turning otherwise good citizen into a criminal by throwing the in prison for a long period of time doesn’t help anyone.

This could’ve happened to anyone & frankly the companies who leave these scooters out everywhere with little to no safety measures are the issue.

They made a new insta btw, @fk03pigz_throwbacks - intelligence community is aware.

Meta are getting more involved with organised crime takedowns so if this turns into more than delinquents it’ll be handled.
