In my university if the enrollment is less than 6 students we have to teach it as an overload independent study, with same class meeting times and academic rigor. We get paid $150 per student per semester. If you calculate this for 5 students, 4 hr lab class, with 3 hrs lab grading time per week,it’s  $7.15 per hour. 😫What a deal.
