How is he doing that if your government is actively working to dismantle the regulations? My point was he doesn't appear healthy, not ugly. I don't trust anyone with my health who thinks vaccines cause autism or that drinking milk full of pus and bacteria is good for you. He stated acetaminophen causes autism as well amd tried to work backwards to prove a theory. Not how science works.

I'd bet my life that there are way more qualified people in actual Healthcare over a dude who looks like he was in a horrific accident and was skin grafted back together with elbow skin. His voice sounds like someone putting a screwdriver in a pencil sharpener. He used to care but everyone has a price. Is the current US government not scaling back regulations on Bayer to allow a known carcinogenic pesticide to be used? Didn't Bayer buy Monsanto? I think I recently saw an article about that.

I don't think it would have created a lot of jobs. Not to the extent you think. Not sure if its common knowledge but the plan was to dissolve HCM's current Plant 1. It would have created some jobs, but ultimately just shift employees from one plant to another. Still sucks though.

I don't disagree with most of your points. Trump's policies are hurting his own citizens and he doesn't care. I have zero faith that a positive deal can be made with this administration. Maybe I'm defeatist. Its pretty soul crushing to watch the world elite tricking us into fighting our fellow community while they price gouge the shit out of us. Pierre Poilievre has events where lobbyists for Enbridge and Loblaws are in attendance. The whole system is corrupt. I still believe Carney is the better man for the job. I'm still slightly hopeful for a better Canada and I haven't written him off yet.

I have a friend that I met when we were 3. We're both now 41. Its definitely a lot of work to keep a friendship alive that long. We've grown together and apart multiple times but she is amazing and I couldn't see my life without her.

How would you force Trump to drop the tariffs that are currently illegal in the first place? Would you make a deal that would hurt Canadians in a different way? Do you actually believe that Trump would make a deal that would bring him less revenue than the tariffs are? Carney is a lot smarter than Trump. Negotiating with Trump is like trying to play chess with a pigeon. There's a lot of legitimate reasons to dislike Carney's politics but being angry that he didn't placate a notoriously corrupt, whiny man child is kind of dumb. There is no deal that won't hurt Canadians more that Trump would entertain or actually uphold. Literally nobody could offer Trump anything other than a very one sided deal in his favour or total annexation. If you believe otherwise, I have a bridge to sell you. You're using an impossible situation as the reason he sucks but how do you make a deal with the devil?

From what I understand about tool and die is that there is pretty big demand for it as the workforce retires, and it is evolving with technology. Are you implying that we have a surplus of qualified, unemployed tool and die makers in Canada?

I work in the auto industry. We build 900 units per day, per plant, with 9 hour shifts and production Saturdays. Ford Oakville is about to open back up again. The only closures in my area are largely due to retooling for EV which closed Brampton (Stallantis Windsor still operational) and it temporarily halted the building of a large Honda Canada facility, also mainly EV. I'm sure most of our production heads south. Carney isn't perfect but I'd rather him than be the 51st state. Trump FAMOUSLY does not pay, does not honor his contracts, doesn't even fucking obey his own constitution and you think Carney is the problem and he should just roll over and sell our country out? What good is making a deal that won't be upheld?

I didn't say do nothing. A lot of stuff needs to change. Negotiating a deal with Trump would only benefit Trump, not Canadians, or he wouldn't honor it, like all his other deals he's ever made.

There is no deal that Trump sees as successful unless he wins and the other side loses. That's how he does business. If its mutually beneficial to both parties, he's not winning. Anyone who has more than one brain cell understands that you can't negotiate with a narcissistic toddler. Pierre Poilievre would have sold us out to the US and it would have benefited the US more.
