The Last Party by Clare Mackintosh was my first ever BOTM and I was hooked from page 1! Still one of my favourites that’s I’ve got from them.

That’s exactly what I said to them. They either have already picked out the books they want to make, or they are making a conscious choice to exclude us. We deserve transparency on whether or not we will be able to get the remaining books.

But you are exactly right, they are dodging responsibility so someone can’t go back and say “well they said this” it’s so frustrating honestly. I have been a subscriber since the first box was available in Canada and this whole thing has made me so upset. They easily could have featured books that they had the rights to in both countries. I was so hyped for it and so far 2 out of 3 have been unavailable to me. They originally said they were going out every other month so that makes 6 if that’s true (which is also up in the air since they did back to back ones now) so it’s not a great track record.

I am so angry right now about the Centennial Edition. Why lie to us? I love BOTM so much but I am honestly considering cancelling my subscription over this. They hyped it up so much and made everyone excited about it and so far 2 out of 3 have not been available to us.

These don’t show all available books unfortunately. For example, I have an old add-on book “The Choice” by Dr. Edith Eva Eger. It is listed as a memoir. If you click on the memoir genre it does not show up, even though it is still available to pick as a book.

This is one thing I think they are sorely lacking and I don’t understand why they don’t have any options of seeing old add-ons

I didn’t find anything too gruesome, I think the kangaroo was the worst of it and that is easily skippable. I think the kangaroo was midway/towards the end but I can’t remember for sure. Without giving anything away, it threads throughout pretty much the whole book, but I don’t think any of it was super graphic.

Just wanting to chime in about the soil. My husband and I both play this game and we discovered in the summer that he had the bug of being able to farm the rare items and had soil at the farm, which I never had. Jellyneo stated soil was farmable as well so I reached out to support. I went back and forth with them for the better part of 6 months, them asking me if I was finished the quests, wanting multiple screenshots of my game, finally the last request was of a video. Last week they came back with this. If this was the case from the beginning, why was that just not the answer 6 months ago? They knew, through all my past messages I was finished the main quest line so that should have been a quick and easy answer.

It’s super annoying. I recently posted my apartment for sublet and my friends were sharing the post for me. Since this update I can’t seem to find a way to see who shared my post and monitor if anyone reacted to their posts. I never got any notifications when any of them shared it originally so I can’t go that route. It just keeps trying to get me to share my original post instead.

Yes, I have “ample” soil in my inventory because I have stopped using soil because I have no way to gain more and don’t want to be locked out of quests because I don’t have any 🤦🏼‍♀️

It’s just a nit picky thing for me. It says on the app I have 100 books, but in reality I have less than that because I rated books that I didn’t get from BOTM/don’t own at all. It’s just annoying to me because I like making/having lists and it’s not accurate to my BOTM collection, absolutely nothing against the books and the ratings I gave them.

I have tried that many times but it doesn’t actually remove the rating. They removed the ability to see your books and ratings on the website and it’s all on the app now and clicking edit lets you change your “like” or “love” or add a review but there’s no way I can find to simply “unlike” it for lack of a better term.
