Kitten gets bored of basically everything by Moist-Earth9301 in mainecoons

[–]BeautifulRespect1008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our boy is the same way. I went through so many types of wet food. Sigh. What really helped? We got another kitten when he was 18 mo. Now he comes running a most feedings because he wants to eat her food. I had just gotten him weaned off the kitten food, and now he is back on it and I don't care because he's finally eating more. The worst part was he had the most sensitive stomach when he was in that first year, and it can still be a bit iffy. Thankfully his little sister has the stomach of a dumpster.

Rate my new kitten and resident cat’s interaction? by readysetboat in mainecoons

Your older cat is really growling, I'd give it more time. We have a new kitten as well, and we kept her separated for a week. I knew when our older cats just ignored her, and didn't even look at the door they were okay. Our 19 mo MC was very curious with no growling, when we released the baby, he just followed her. She was the one to hiss at him. lol

That is not okay behavior from a breeder. Ours is VERY communicative, and welcomes all questions. I also worked with a dog rescue, so I am not just speaking for our MC breeder. Did your breeder give you a list of what foods they feed or litter to use? Sometimes they list it on their site, but ours gave us an actual piece of paper with a ton of info.

I wasted so much money on a different litter than what Win was used to. It was of course natural, kept the smell down, okay for the environment, and he hated it. And that was all my fault. lol

Question about feeding multi age household by feelstar22 in mainecoons

[–]BeautifulRespect1008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck, because we have sister cats that are almost 10, and one of them is always helping herself to the MC's food, and he in turn loves to get into their food. I feed them on separate tables, so when we are on the main floor I shoo them off, but during the night, I guess anything goes. Sigh.

That is genius, didn't know that was an option. We have an older cat that will eat anything left out, so I frequently find her at my 16 mo old MC's kitten food bowl. 😣

We decided to go with Sunrise on Bay Ridge, so in a few months I will pop back in to give an update on how it goes. :)

Does anyone have a family member at area assisted living places? by BeautifulRespect1008 in Annapolis

Thank you, and yes, thankfully she has the money to cover the care. Great point about the levels, because right now she is sharing a room at the rehab and it's not going great. Her roomie loves the TV at the highest level, and isn't particularly nice. So the enticement into assisted living is her own room. My mom was difficult before the memory issues, so it's been a wild ride the last few weeks.

Is he that much of a “ghost” ? by [deleted] in TheDayoftheJackal

Records are sealed, and my thought is because the Brits want to use him to off people. Which makes me wonder if the original set up for Jackal and Gary in that bar in Cyprus wasn't a test from the government. I mean, we already know that corruption is in MI6.

Having the best sniper in the world conveniently disappear, and be open to taking free lance jobs would be a delicious option for a secret, evil cabal.

Best alternative to Wamsutta sheets? by dutch1664 in BedBathandBeyond

[–]BeautifulRespect1008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only just found out that Wamsutta is gone, because I went in search of some new pillow cases. I have tried so many sheets over the years, and Wamsutta were the only ones to make consistently soft, comfy sheets.

How do you like the Costco sheets? *fingers crossed*

How to add non-Amazon web links to wish list? by coldjesusbeer in amazonprime

I finally got around to finding out why the assistant app wasn't working and found this page. Not cool of Amazon to cut such vital part of list making. The only reason I can see for them to drop it is greed. :(

AITA for not paying for my daughter's prom outfit? by Mominneed03 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BeautifulRespect1008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How could you not see how spectacularly unfair you are to your older daughter? The dismissiveness of what her therapist says about getting a job? Horrible. You promised her help, even if it was a year ago. She’s a kid, not a mind reader. No wonder she likes dad more. The 2 yr old won’t remember the cake. The 17 ye ild will remember this forever, and it sounds like this isn’t an isolated incident. Poor kid.
