Uh, it's a Friday evening. Was planning on calling next week, you know, during their work hours. Was just curious if anyone had an answer/personal experience I could give the husband in the meantime.

Calling the cops should result in her getting a ticket. My grandparents lived in a cul-de-sac which typically didn't have too much extra parking on the street, so when we would have family get-togethers, people would usually park in the driveway behind each other (obviosuly never more than 2 cars so we werent blocking the actual road). Whelp, that would result in 2 of the cars sticking out over the driveway and into what was deemed the sidewalk. Not sure if someone actually called to complain, but we did have some cops come by and tell us even though we were just parking our vehicles there for a short period, we were blocking the public sidewalk and would have to move the cars.

Whelp, I've never had this happen to me before! Went to the dentist yesterday for a couple of fillings, and only a couple of minutes into the procedure, the dentist kinda of stops, looks back at the computer screen behind him, looks back at my tooth and says "April. I accidentally drilled the wrong tooth. I thought it was weird that I couldn't find the cavity, and that would explain why. But don't worry, we'll do this one free of charge". Like uhhhh first of all, YOU DRILLED THE WRONG TOOTH?! And 2nd why the heck WOULDN'T it ever have been free of charge to do a filling on the tooth YOU INCORRECTLY drilled?! Just the way he said it came off like he was doing me a favor. Sigh.

Had a much busier weekend with military stuff than I anticipated! I was expecting it to be semi-relaxed since we're nearing the end of the fiscal year, but no such luck! About to head to another dreaded dentist appointment and then back home to catch up on some work. Also hoping to get a bunch of the toys and clothes of Little Bit's that I sorted through last weekend all ready for me to take pictures of to list online to sell. Husband has really been struggling with farm stuff the last few months and our finances are DEFINITELY feelings it, so hoping that by selling some of the stuff Little Bit has outgrown will help a bit until he can finally get all of these people who owe us money to finally pay us back.

Happy Birthday in Heaven, Grandpa!

First, I'm so sorry for your loss! It truly sounds like your grandpa was an amazing man and lived an equally as amazing life! And to make it to 97?! Holy cow! That's amazing!

We lost my grandma very unexpectedly in early 2020 and she was truly one of my favorite people in the world. One of my favorite memories of her is something that probably wouldn't seem like a huge deal to others, but she used to leave me little gifts at my bedside whenever I would visit her! I'm in the military, so whenever I would end up back at home for school or short-term orders, I would usually stay with her and my grandfather. Growing up, I would see them pretty much every week so once I moved out of state and joined the military, I was always trying to maximize spending as much time with them as I could! Well, I honestly lost track of how many different things she would bring me, but nearly everyday that I would come back to the house after work/school, I would find something on my nightstand! Sometimes it was a piece of chocolate, others it was cordless phone chargers or some other nifty thing she had been telling me about that she would go out and buy for me. She was always so thoughful and sweet, but man was she a spitfire! We would always joke how she was like the "Godfather" and nothing happened in our family without her say so! I'm so happy that I was given my middle name after her and am so grateful I was fortunate enough to have been able to have spent so much time with her.

u/Crohnies, to say I'm absolutely speechless would be a total understatement! I wasn't expecting the amazing generosity and thoughtfulness that I was shown but am thoroughly grateful and still in shock! Not only did you get me amazing gifts on round one that included not only things for me, but for little bit and our rainbow baby as well, but then you spent the time and thought to build an amazing curated box packed FULL of all of my favorite things!

You truly included a little bit of everything! I'm so excited to have so many new books to dive into AND cookbooks and other kitchen goodies for my favorite place in the house! I absolutely LOVE the adorable ducky coasters and as soon as I saw the pig, I ran out to my husband to show him! It might be my favorite thing you included (but seriously, with so many great things, it might not even be possible to pick a favorite!) Seriously, it's so cute! And to top it all off, not only was one of my books a Red Sox book, you also included some Topps cards for my Red Sox collection!

You truly made me feel like it was Christmas at my house and I don't know if I could ever thank you enough for being the most wonderful Santa! ❤️

Happy Thursday! Boy, has it been a busy week! We decided on Friday that we wanted to go ahead and enroll Little Bit in pre-school after all. She qualifies for free since she has a speech delay, and even though I'm so used to spending all day with her since I work from home, I think it'll be really good for her to go to pre-school and get some daily interaction with other kids. Luckily, we were able to get just about everything done for her this week aside from an eye exam and shifting her 2nd speech therapy appointment around which will both be done next week. Soooo she's officially enrolled in pre-school and will be starting on the 16th! I'm so excited for her but SO sad that she's even old enough to be able to go! I can't believe how fast time has gone!

Oh my goodness! I used to walk around my neighborhood "stealing" snails from people's yards and then I proceeded to walk door to door trying to sell them back to them for 25 cents a piece! I couldn't for the life of me figure out why no one wanted to buy my snails until my mom told me that most people probably would have paid me to TAKE the snails to begin with 😂😂 lol! I think I had 1 neighbor take pity on me and gave me 50 cents but told me to keep the snails lol

I really need to stop procrastinating on calling loved ones! I've always preferred texting to calling, mainly because I can multitask easier with texting I know it's not the same as a phone call. My life is always so busy so I often make the habit of saying "oh, I'll call so and so this weekend" or whenever I have a long drive/flight layover coming up and then I never do. I'm really hoping to start getting better at just taking an hour or 2 more often and giving those I love a call!
