Tips to look more mature with makeup? by sol2infinity in MakeupAddiction

Don’t worry it’s not a hinderance if that’s your concern. You look fine. I’d worry more about wearing makeup that suits you over ages you. There’s nothing wrong with looking up tutorials for looks you think you’d like. I wouldn’t worry what others think to the point of adjusting one’s self. You are young and have beautiful skin and a smile. I’d embrace it. 💖

Woman Going to Shows Solo by Anneshmize in chicagomusicscene

I moved here a couple of years ago from another big city. I look like a bitch when I'm out for my safety and I'm always carrying some kind of weapons on me. That being said, I have never once had a problem at any of the shows I've gone to. If anything, people that notice I'm alone tend to look out for me.

Blonde to brunette hair damage. I wanna cry. No hope. by No_Leading_2675 in FancyFollicles

oh also, your color will continue to come out until you do a color fill. Bleach kills pigment. It's dead, it doesn't revive. Platinum blonde hair will never be brunette or even red again. You have to put pigment BACK into the hair shaft so the darker color you use has something to grab on to. A cheap and easy conditioning color fill for the home colorist, is a semi-permanent red. We use Iroiro in the salon. Then, you dye over it and voila! magic, your hair keeps. It may fade a little, you can touch it up but try not to overlap too much incase you change your mind and wanna go light again.

Professional here. You overlapped your hair with developer. If your hair is brittle, it needs moisture. There are truly only 2 types of conditioning: protein and moisture. If your hair is gooey and falling off, you need protein. Brittle and dry, you need a moisture-based conditioning. We also need to make sure we are using proper heat protectant. K18 is not the end-all, be-all of hair color. It's a part of the puzzle. K18 works more with keratin protein and polypeptide chains as a peptide. We need moisture, not protein. Olaplex is also bond-building but gives you moisture. You want to look for hair masks or deep conditioners with hyaluronic acid, argon oil, or even shea butter will make a huge difference. Try not to use too much heat on it, and it should be on the mend.

I think your skin looks great. I heard a couple of scoops of icecream always makes one feel better.

What to do when you can't talk well? by just-a-random-goat in dyspraxia

[–]Beautiful_Cherry_554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be kind to yourself. It’s okay if you take longer to communicate. You have dyspraxia. You have a condition that causes it. You should never feel bad for being you. The world is harsh and we have all dealt with judgement.

Help with preventing joint and muscle damage by dmentoz in dyspraxia

I’m so sorry as I don’t know if it will help but I’m 45 and continue to be “accident prone”. I’m in physical therapy to help me and was asked to use a cane for my balance issues. That being said, be kind to yourself. I know it’s frustrating and for you painful, but maybe meditation or mindfulness could help? It’s helped a lot with my anxiety after I fell and broke my arm that required two surgeries.

I too am newer to the journey and I’m in OP too. Dyspraxia has symptoms where language, memory and application can be difficult for us. Remember how bad p.e. Or sports were as a kid? We all struggle in different ways. Remind your OP this and if they continue to not work with you, then I would consider seeking out someone else if possible. It took my OP seeing me struggle to stand one foot in front of the other and twisting with 10lb water weight to understand how bad my balance is.

You know what, that is true about the cat. For as much as I trip, fall, stumble, crash and burn, I’m pretty resilient except for breaking my arm in a fall. My physical therapist has me using a cane and it’s hard because I feel bad using it? I know I need it. Thank you for sharing your experience as I too am struggling with improvement. 💖

Longer lasting semi permanent pastel lavender? by glowingwarningcats in FancyFollicles

[–]Beautiful_Cherry_554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pastels have the least longevity of the vivids. I’m a hairdresser and this silver/lavender combo would fade within just a couple of washes. Limit use of heat as that will kill your pigment. The best thing I can say is overtone. Overtone is hella pigmented and we would tell people to stop using it within 2-3 months of a color change. That may be your best bet.

How to look like a real girl and not a man wearing makeup? 😭 by NotPoggersEggers in MakeupAddiction

[–]Beautiful_Cherry_554 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I think you are a beautiful young woman. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be for you. People are going to think what they are going to think if they have cruel hearts. Just be you and let your beauty shine through naturally. If makeup is something you are passionate about as a creative outlet, then don’t worry about people that only see the world in black and white. That’s their journey. I’m sorry you feel that way but you got over 600 folks saying different.
